GUESS WHAT TIME IT IS

  ✾ MISTLETOE MEME ✾

All right guys, since we can't do this in-game, we shall have an OOC meme for it instead! Nothing will carry over into the game, so just have fun with it. Here's how it works:

• You are stuck under a random mistletoe.
• There is a note on said mistletoe.
• Whoever comes within range will be pulled under the mistletoe and also be stuck.
• Now you both have to do what the note says to get unstuck.
• EMOTIONS ARE STILL IN EFFECT so have fun with that.

State your preferences!

1. Hug. Easy enough. Can be a simple hug or a giant bear hug.
2. Kiss on the cheek. For those who might be a little shier.
3. Kiss on the hand. For those who want to be...well, whatever kissing on the hand invokes. Charming? Dashing?
4. Kiss on the forehead. Because sometimes you have to brush their hair out of their faces, and that's cute.
5. Kiss on the lips. 1-2-3 KISS. This is the tame version of the next one.
6. Make-out for five minutes. That escalated quickly!

And a brand new Emp-centric option for this year:

7. Ship crystals! Some of the mistletoe this year is attached to large crystals, and "just a kiss" is not gonna help you here. No, these things want fluff. In addition to kisses, they want you to hold hands, and sit in a cute shop drinking a milkshake out of one glass with two straws, and give each other flowers, and all manner of other disgusting shippy things. And it will not let you separate until you have filled it with enough fluff drops to satisfy it*. Use a variety of different kisses to speed the process up and enjoy your temporary new significant other! Hopefully one or both of you is romantic enough to think of things to do. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

*You can move around and go on cute dates. It will float over your heads as you wander like a horrible crystal voyeur.

[It seems like every year the Christmas decorations just get more and more intricate and numerous even outside the Voltron house. Alice has meandered over very innocently to see if Allura might be up for an early round of toy collections for this year.

Exiting the house though is a harder task than normal because... well, mistletoe. It had just popped into existence sometime between Alice entering and now her exiting. Her stride out the front door is abruptly put to an end by a thoroughly invisible barrier that she quite promptly walks right into and then staggers back from.]

... What?

The polygon returns!

[Well of course, Allura's always up for charity (especially if it helps take her mind off canon update drama), but then Alice seems... unable to move.]

Alice? Is everything all right?

The mighty shipping dodecahedron.

[Alice rubs her forehead a moment, brow furrowed as she looks at... absolutely nothing???]

I... don't know?

[What's going on? She turns around and then looks up from where she stands in the front door and -- oh.]

It's mistletoe.

[She remembers this from last year, oh yes she does.]

Oh goodness, not again... [Sigh.] I swear, they're more invasive than bithaelphs; remove one sprig, ten more pop up in its place.

[At least mistletoe aren't carnivorous with corrosive flesh to digest the prey they latch onto...]

And the Shiros are in Shaarnath for that task. I don't suppose you'd be all right with me helping, would you?

We don't have much of a choice there, do we?

[Alice asks curiously because as far as she knows, she couldn't leave to go find either of the Shiros if she wanted to. Now that she's wandered under the mistletoe, it seems determined to confine her to this small bit of space.

Then it strikes her just what usually goes on under mistletoe - or did last year - and a sudden burst of steam ruffles her hair and wafts up through the air above her head.]

Th-that doesn't mean I mind the idea. Of kissing you, I mean.

[Slowly she begins to wilt as the weight of her own awkwardness presses down upon her.]

I've never really kissed many people besides my sisters or Shiro so I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Alice, it's fine, really. Usually these things ask for just a hug or kiss on the forehead or cheek. If it does end up being something more, we can always see if Shiro can come back soon enough to free you.

[The blonde takes a moment to rub at the back of her neck. She supposes it helps in many ways that Allura reminds her of Sophice. She clears her throat, getting her emotions back in order.]

Yes, well, maybe it will be lenient on me then.

[She reaches up to the note above her head and just.

Sweating intensifies.]

Allura, would you mind --

Of course.

[Allura's extra height inches of height let her pluck the note with relative ease, and when she does, it's with a reassuring smile.]

Ah, that should be fine. This one releases with just a cheek kiss.

[Forgive Alice's sigh of relief.]

Thank goodness.

[Easy enough! Allura has some height on her but that's okay, Alice is bold! So bold even that she just sort of turns to the princess and slaps her hands right on her shoulders.

Her expression is filled with determination.]

Bend down.

[Hey, she gets it. She and Shiro are a strong, devoted couple; she'd feel the same way if it'd been her if her significant other wasn't around.

She nods with a bit of amusement at the determination (that's Alice for you; all or nothing), but complies easily, tilting her head to the side since she assumes the blonde is wanting to be the kisser.]

[Indeed she is! Chalk it up to Alice growing bolder with physical affection of all sorts. Her sisters are ready huggers and so have others but Alice herself? She's always been more... reticent? Something like that.

Either way, it's a press of lips to Allura's cheek and boom, there goes the being stuck problem. Once she's done Alice stands, flustered cheeks and ringed in a tiny bit of a glow.

She laughs.]

Thank you, Allura. That was very pleasant!

[Not that she assumed it would be terrible of course.]

[Darn you, rubella-driven upbringing. But aw, that was cute, and Allura smiles and faintly sparkles as she stands.]
