Test Drive: May

— TEST DRIVE: MAY —

Welcome to [community profile] empatheias' test drive meme. This test drive is to help interested players test their characters in the game's environment. We've included a few prompts that incorporate specific elements of the game, though you'll find all of them have a lot of leeway for players to get as creative as necessary. Before diving in, here are a few things we'd like to remind everyone about the game in general:

  • Date reminders. Reserves open 24th of April and Applications (Canon | OC) open a week later on May 1st. Apps will only be open for four days!

  • OC Reminder! Just a quick reminder that original characters are allowed. Those interested can also use the test drive. OCs do not need to be reserved.

  • Emotions are key! Empatheias' premise focuses on how anyone's emotions can affect their environment, be it big or small. While not every emotion will cause a reaction, significant ones definitely will. How much effect a character will have will ultimately be up to you, the player. Also, while we're giving a lot of leeway for the test drive, keep in mind that there will be some limits in the actual game.

  • Everyone has an amulet. All characters have a unique amulet that is specialized for them. It will contain all of their emotion drops and it serves as the network device. Remember, communication is telepathic. Otherwise, it works basically the same.

  • Assume the character is already in the game. Because "OMG WHERE AM I IS THIS REAL LIFE" threads aren't going to be very helpful in this test drive! Plus, those are going to happen in-game, anyway. So to make things easier, just assume that they've been around at least a week or so. Still learning the ropes, but not a complete "first day" experience.

  • First or third person allowed. Your threads can be in either first or third, but we'd advise being flexible about it. Remember, these threads can also be used in your application for samples! Reminder: We only require one sample and it can be done in either format. We have also made a change to our sample requirements, so look over the Applications page!

  • Transfer to in-game. If accepted, you can assume threads made on the Test Drive happen in-game if the scenario can reasonably fit. For new characters, these threads do not count for activity check. However, these can be supplementary threads for players already in-game.

  • For your threads, put the Character Name and the Canon in the subject line to help readily identify them. You're also welcome to use more than one prompt for respondents to choose from. If you have any questions or want to brush up on the game information, refer to the Game Information entry. Otherwise, tag around and have fun!

  • For any concerns or questions, head over to this top level.

Now with that out of the way, here are some prompts you guys can work from!

PROMPTS

• PROMPT A: How about giving the emotions a try?

• PROMPT B: Refer to the Task Board and choose a task your character may be interested in taking up. For this prompt, you could have your character ask for help, already be in the middle of the job, or react to it in some way. Perhaps they were an unfortunate victim or want to create a job countering an existing one. You could even have a prompt making a job request. Creating jobs for the purpose of the test drive is absolutely doable.

• PROMPT C: How about giving the amulets a go? Start a telepathic conversation and see how it works. Remember, the amulets are sending out the owner's thoughts so might want to be careful about how the stream of consciousness goes...

• PROMPT D: Perhaps one may have heard that Verens used to be a floating island, and it was! When the island then ended up on the surface, creatures which explorers have called "Dinosaurs" (quotation marks included) were discovered inhabiting the plains and the mountains in a far off area. It's time to go back to the jurassic world for a very important mission: gather as many Amaranthus Rubus, red pearl-shaped fruits that heal any and all wounds on one's skin. The hospital needs it! As such, one needs to prepare.

Explorers do not wish to harm the "Dinosaurs", as they are afraid the "Dinosaurs" would go extinct should any danger be placed unto them. This means that one's option when encountering volatile and aggressive "Dinosaurs" is to run away. A fun run is now being held in Verens a few days prior to the trip to the "Dinosaur" plains, where 50 sylvs and a t-shirt that says "I successfully ran away from a 'Dinosaur'!". The colour of the shirt is random, though, but there are as many as the colours of the rainbow. Maybe trade with somebody else who's finished the run if you don't like yellow so much.

• PROMPT E: Once the preparations have been made, it's time to set forth into the land of the “Dinosaurs”. As you enter their domain, it may be difficult to resist the temptation to interact with these rare and unusual creatures, and some of the “dinosaurs” are indeed tranquil and herbivorous. Go ahead and feed the long-necks leafy branches and if you're feeling daring, climb up on their backs for a ride! However, many of the “dinosaurs” are quite a bit more dangerous, and they are very territorial. If you cross paths with the a pack of raptors, prepare to run, fight, or distract. All explorers have been supplied with strips of alluring jerky to placate the beasts. Who knows, you might even make a friend! Be careful not to lose and hand, though.

The Amaranthus Rubus is thickest near the home of the most terrifying “dinosaur” of all, the "Tyrannosaur", and if you are daring enough to approach the lair of this creature to reap the fruits, you may not even have the chance to run away before the creature corners you, roars, and...wiggles his sad, little arms. It seems poor old "Tyrannosaur" just wants some kind of tool to extend his reach! Help him out and he will let you go. Or refuse, and he'll eat you. Sounds reasonable, right?

• PROMPT F: It seems like the land of the "Dinosaurs" isn't so bad after all! Perhaps "Dinosaurs" and man can co-exist, but for that to happen, much research will have to be made regarding a "Dinosaur"'s way of life. Now aboard the ship to head back to the city, researchers are talking about another excursion in the future that's solely for researching on "Dinosaurs" - various species, what they eat, their excrement, and the like.

The trip back to Verens is a little long. Perhaps you're just resting in one of the rooms when there's an explosive sound that can be heard. Oh no! It looks like the engine's running out of steam! Luckily, there's a steam generator in the ship, but steam can only be made through cooperation, anger, and sadness. The entire ship needs your help to get back to the city safely, and if you have to hold someone's hand, slap them, and yell at them to get them to manifest their emotions tangibly, then do so!

• Prompt G: Make your own! It could include swords and/or stones.

[If Sun had more than one brain cell maybe, just maybe he could put together that there was more than one dimension version of Alola. Clearly the UBs were from another dimension, but that obviously didn't apply to their home. Nope. He didn't even want to entertain Guzma's response. He knew he wasn't getting anywhere with that conversation so waved him off dismissively and went back to trying to ignore him.

The keyword being "trying", it was a very short lived dismissal as Guzma put himself between Sun and his money making goals. He gave the gang leader a sideways glance, clearly offended at him trying to get in his way. After all there was plenty of fruit in this area and no more threat of a overgrown fossil keeping the two of them from picking as many as they would like. A serious look crossed his face as he continued.]

Uh, yeah? What—are you gonna try and stop me or something?

[What's this?? Potential battle? Dollar had managed to pick exactly one (1) fruit and was slowly walking it back to Sun to drop it at his feet, but it couldn't help but perk up a little at the atmosphere that was brewing between the two trainers.]

[At least now Golisopod doesn't look as down in the dumps, with a potential battle coming to head, he's allowing himself to get more serious. A battle is a good way to beat them blues, anyways!]

That's the plan. I got my eyes on 'em as well, and the more you take, the less I get.

[He is completely ignoring the fact that there's more than enough to go around. Right now it's less about that, and more about punishing Sun. And relieving some steam.]

Hope your Meowth ain't too tired from takin' that thing out, 'cos he's gonna need all the energy he can muster to avoid gettin' crushed!

[personal profile] hundredmillyen 2019-04-21 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
[The two of them combined—with all their pokemon too— wouldn't be able to carry all the fruit from this place. There was certainly plenty here. This was a fact that didn't matter to Sun however. He wasn't about to let someone stop him from making money. He was already frustrated from the interactions with Guzma so if it came to a battle so be it.]

Well I'm not planning on sharing so! That creature wasn't even enough for Dollar to break a sweat, go ahead and try to crush us.

[He wasn't too worried, he had battled Guzma before after all. He wasn't planning on breaking his arm a second time, but at least he knew what to watch out for. At least he thought he did. The prospect of battle rejuvenated Dollar though. What was before a sluggish and lazy demeanor had changed. He held himself up straighter, poised for the battle to start at any moment as he eyed Golisopod sharply. Truly he was a different pokemon when battling.]

[personal profile] golisolation 2019-04-21 08:44 am (UTC)(link)
[Guzma's feeling especially merciless, and as soon as Sun gives the go ahead, he says his first order:]

First Impression.

[And in a flash Golisopod's gone—appearing again right in front of Dollar, and maybe almost too close to Sun, but the strike only hits his target. The force is pretty incredible, but that's going to happen when the attack itself is super effective, and Guzma's Pokèmon are far more trained than what Sun is used to.

In another flash, Golisopod is back where he started, claws up and ready as his strange cross-shaped eyes lock onto his opponent.]
hundredmillyen: (pic#13063508)

[personal profile] hundredmillyen 2019-04-21 09:23 am (UTC)(link)
[The First Impression wasn't unexpected. It was the same move he opened with last time as well. Of course even though it was expected, there was no dodging the attack. Dollar had it's arms raised up in an attempt to protect himself, mimicking his trainer. Luckily this time he didn't go flying back into Sun, while the battle was a little too close for comfort Dollar did make an effort to control where he got knocked too.

The move was still too quick to fully protect himself from as Dollar was pushed back, skidding backwards as it's claws dug into the ground to keep him in place. The damage was noticeable which was surprising to Sun, but not enough to knock the Meowth out yet as it stood back up claws raised to attack.]

Feint attack!

[As Dollar rushed towards his opponent, going for what looked like a flank attack he switched at the last second appearing behind the giant bug to strike. Going for a similar tactic as he did with the Tyrannosaur to try to knock it off balance, the bigger they are the harder they fall!]
golisolation: (Every day is laundry day)

[personal profile] golisolation 2019-04-21 09:30 am (UTC)(link)
[Guzma squats down as he watches Golisopod's strike land, and the Meowth retaliate. He's not too worried about the strike—because while it might hit Golisopod arguably hard, he knows how resilient he is. Unlike the Tyrannosaur, Dollar's opponent seems otherwise unbothered by the attack. Those eyes locking on the feline with a dangerous intensity.]

Finish him off—liquidation!

[Welling a surge of water around him, Golisopod uses the shortened distance between them to slam right into Dollar—using both his strength and weight behind the blow, while water erupts around him.]

I wouldn't blame you if you backed down now, it's pretty clear how hopeless this is for you.
hundredmillyen: (pic#13063511)

[personal profile] hundredmillyen 2019-04-21 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
[This was definitely not at all how Sun imagined it would go. Granted if he rubbed his few brain cells together he might have thought a little harder on the fact that Guzma had been here in this world for a year. A lot can change in a year, it definitely makes sense he would be stronger too. The change in Guzma's strength though comes as a stupid surprise to the young trainer.]

Dollar look out!

[No amount of forewarning could help his Meowth now. They were too close and there was absolutely no time to dodge or react. Like a rag doll Dollar went flying from both the impact and the erupting water only to crumple upon hitting the ground a few feet away. Sun eye's narrowed as he refused to call back his pokemon instead gritting his teeth as he waited with bated breath. It definitely seemed that the match was decided, at least until Dollar shakily got got back up. It was clear it was on it's last leg though, it's paw swiping at an injury on it's face. The air surrounding the battle felt thick, almost suffocating thanks to the magic of this place. It was clear Sun was racking his brain to pull himself outta this mess. Stubborn written clearly on both trainer and pokemon's expressions.]

I'm not leaving till I get what I came for.

[Instead of issuing another command, Dollar changed his stance adopting a defensive one. Perhaps he was aiming to counter whatever Golisopod would throw at him.]
golisolation: (alola girls gone wild)

[personal profile] golisolation 2019-04-21 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
[On Guzma's end this is going exactly as he suspected it would. This kid lacked the air the champion had, he didn't have the same type of stoic confidence. He seemed weaker, and Guzma could smell its foulness. He cocks his head as the hit lands, sending Golisopod's opponent flying like a rag doll. His eyebrows raise in surprise, however, when the Meowth soldiers on.]

What's even the point, huh!?

[The stance is an interesting one, but Guzma's none too worried about it.]

Or do you like seein' your Pokèmon in pain? You're one messed up kid—Brick Break!

[Without mercy Golisopod strikes again, aiming to bring his arm down in a chopping motion onto the defensively positioned Meowth, completely disregarding that counter stance.]

[personal profile] hundredmillyen 2019-04-21 10:24 am (UTC)(link)
[For Dollar, it's a sense of pride. He knew it had beaten this overgrown bug before and despite it's type disadvantage it was as stubborn as his trainer. Despite Guzma trying to egg Sun on, he remained focused on the battle. While he may not have the stoic confidence of the champion Guzma knew, he certainly was tenacious and not afraid to rise to a challenge. He didn't need to dignify the gang leader with a response, his reasons were his and his alone.

Dollar waited and watched carefully for the opening to counter that it was looking for. Just as the Brick Break was due to connect, it rushed forward dodging underneath Golisopod's giant claw arms and right where it wanted to be. The soft underside to the hard bug.]

Night Slash!

[It was all or nothing at this point, the Meowth positioned again too close to dodge another attack as it hoped to land a critical hit with it's last move.]
golisolation: (pic#13062930)

[personal profile] golisolation 2019-04-21 10:32 am (UTC)(link)
[The hit certainly takes Golisopod off guard, making the giant bug take a step back, wincing. Another dark attack, one that doesn't do much to bug like him, but the hit to his soft belly certainly evens it out. Guzma's expression certainly showcases his own surprise, before it falls back into one of annoyance. There was no way Golisopod was going to lose to this Meowth—what an insult!]

Finish this, Golisopod! Don't let him get the jump on you again!

[It was foolish that he underestimated the stance, but now he knew what to look for, and as such Golisopod readies—seemingly knowing what's going to come next.]

Liquidation!

[Again he envelops himself in gushing water as he slams forth into the weary Meowth.]
hundredmillyen: (pic#13068908)

[personal profile] hundredmillyen 2019-04-21 10:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Sun cocked a grin as the attack connected, glad to at least knock the Golisopod back a step. It was progress! Just because he wasn't the champ didn't mean he could be underestimated. Expecting the Liquadation again, he attempted to counter with one last quick attack as fast as he could call out to Dollar.]

Quick, Pay Day!

[His aim was to use the coins as both a makeshift shield and a sort of smokescreen for Dollar's escape from the close range. The weary Meowth poised to meet the attack head on with his attack in retaliation. His weariness had caught up to him though and he was a second too slow at getting the move off. Once again the poor Meowth was sent flying back. This time however Dollar would not be getting back up.

Silence permeated the thick atmosphere of the battle, Sun's posture rigid as he glowered at the ground. Reluctantly withdrawing his pokemon back to his pokeball. Despite his lose his stubbornness still persisted as he debated what to do. Snapping his eyes back to Guzma, determination still on face he had made a decision.]

If don't want me to get the fruit you'll have to stop me yourself!!

[And with that Sun turns and darts to the nearest growth of the fruit barring plant. He is going to stuff as much fruit as he can in his shirt and YOU CANT STOP HIM.]

golisolation: (shotgunning 7-11 taquitos)

[personal profile] golisolation 2019-04-21 11:02 am (UTC)(link)
[His grin widens as he sees Sun's failed attempt to retaliate. The weakened Meowth too slow to pull the move off, and it finally gets knocked out of the battle. He allows the sting of defeat to hang in the air, the silence between them allowing it to hang undisturbed between them. He rises from his squat, about to offer some well deserved shit-talking—and then Sun does... that.

Guzma stares at him for a moment, as does Golisopod. He's certainly something else, but Guzma's not going to let the punk just get away with taking those fruits, especially when he's as sore as he is with this situation. Crossing the distance while the boy tries to gather as many fruits as he can (good luck without a backpack, chump!), he reaches over and grabs the boy by the back of his shirt. Lifting him entirely off the ground by it, like one might do to a skitty with its scruff.]

I ain't got no problem stoppin' ya, kid.

[It's insanely petty, but that's kinda Guzma's thing. Even now, even after everything, he's still likely to be a petty asshole when he's been ruffled like this!]
hundredmillyen: (pic#13063509)

[personal profile] hundredmillyen 2019-04-21 11:17 am (UTC)(link)
[You better believe he's stuffed his shirt full of fruit, using one arm to keep the fruit from falling out the bottom. His speed at collecting fruit was impressive to say the least, but it was all for naught as he was lifted into the air. All the fruit he had gathered pouring out of his shirt like some sort of comical waterfall as Sun himself squirmed in Guzma's grasp trying to pry himself lose, use his tiny arms to punch the older man, or even just squirm out of his own shirt. He wasn't successful yet. Clearly all the squirming was of some childish tantrum, sore from his loss in battle and backed into a corner. He huffed indignantly, not yet tired from his thrashing.]

Yeah?! What do you even need this fruit for!

[Cuz you know, clearly Sun had the superior reason despite not once mentioning it before.]
golisolation: (i dont like this pokemon strip club)

[personal profile] golisolation 2019-04-21 11:22 am (UTC)(link)
[Guzma just stares at Sun with an unamused expression as he twists and thrashes, small fists missing him with each attempted strike. His arms too short, and Guzma's far too long to allow that to happen.]

'Cos they heal injuries. Why else would I need 'em? Y'think I'm gonna hand them over to the hospital? Tch!

[Of course this doesn't fully answer the question, does it?]
hundredmillyen: (pic#13068896)

[personal profile] hundredmillyen 2019-04-21 11:40 am (UTC)(link)
[It sucks being a short 11 year old and no one fully understands this fact until they've been hoisted in the air and held just out of reach. Just you watch Guzma, if he could reach you boy you would be in a world of hurt. (not) Considering the Guzma he was familiar with, he's lucky his ass hadn't been handed to him.

Despite how full of beans this kid was, Sun did eventually tire from his struggles. He was panting lightly and now just resorting to a glare to show his displeasure. In his squirming he had managed to get a hold of the hand that was holding him up. Not that it helped him in this situation besides perhaps steadying himself better. He still had his other pokemon of course, but rational thought wasn't with him in the moment.]

[Incredulously and a bit bitter tbh.] That's all? It's an untapped market, clearly in demand! The risk is worth the profits it would yield. It'd be stupid to just hand them over.

[Ain't he quite the entrepreneur?? Small child looks to start a business.]

[Guzma might be more amused by Sun's struggles, if not for the fact he's so annoyed by everything that lead to this moment. An unsatisfactory pay off to be sure. His expression has grown more neutral as he stares at Sun, letting the kid wind down and steady himself while being suspended like he is, feet a good few inches from the ground.]

When did you start givin' a shit about makin' money?

[He doesn't really remember the champ being so money-focused, but he supposes that was entirely possible. It's not like he knew everything there was about him to begin with, he just felt like this would be something a bit more obvious, than not.]

—but yeah, that's all. With no centers here, we got limited options.
hundredmillyen: (pic#13068906)

[personal profile] hundredmillyen 2019-04-21 12:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[Good, he aims to make your win as unsatisfactory as possible. How dare you bully children. The casual way Guzma replies to him throws off his childish game. Very confusing for Sun. Why would the Big Bad Boss™ talk to him with such familiarity in his voice? It's not like Guzma knew him. Sure he picked up some part-time work from Team Skull before, but he went through the grunts.]

Uh, always? What's it to you?

[Sun was still pretty weirded out by his first comment to remark on the bit about pokemon centers. If anything that was even more reason to collect and sell the fruit to the masses. But no, he couldn't get over the familiarity. A heavy feeling of uncomfortableness slowly started to creep in. Literally; it was a feeling like someone had invaded your personal space. Like if someone were to unexpectedly barge in to your room and then just not leave.]

Look— I don't know you. I know of you.

[His brows furrowed, piercing eyes staring the older man down.]

Why do you know me?
golisolation: (naked at the laundromat)

[personal profile] golisolation 2019-04-21 12:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[There's an even more awkward silence as Guzma stares at him after his response. The look isn't quite... angry. Frustrated, for sure, but there's a spot of disappointment behind it as well. This was never funny to begin with, but as this continues on, Guzma's growing more tired of this joke of a situation.

Finally, he lets Sun down, but the pensive look on his face does little to tell what's going on behind the expression. He's not sure what to believe, what to think, what to feel. Why doesn't Sun know him, why does he only know of him? It didn't make sense, and he couldn't make sense of it.]

You really don't know, huh?

[He sounds tired. There's a decided calmness in him that the Guzma Sun knew didn't possess in any measure. His expression sours as he sticks his hands in his pockets, and turns away from Sun.]

I don't know what's goin' on—what kinda joke this world is tryin' to play on me, but I ain't laughing.

[It's not much of an answer. At all, really, but at least Sun's free?]
hundredmillyen: (pic#13068897)

[personal profile] hundredmillyen 2019-04-21 12:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[Sun's not sure why that of all things got Guzma to let him down, but he wasn't complaining. His question wasn't answered in the slightest though, leaving the kid with more confusion than anything else. The change of mood in the conversation was completely lost on him though.]

Um. Should I?

[He didn't get what Guzma meant by the world playing a joke on him. He simply watched as the gang leader turned from him. Sun made no attempts to reach out. Why should he? He didn't know what was going on with Guzma and again he had no real connection to the trainer.]

I mean, using dirty tricks during our pokemon battle and breaking my arm doesn't exactly foster a friendship. At least, last I checked. [Callously added as he started back stepping from the man. He hadn't taken his eyes off him yet, but he wasn't planning on sticking around for sure.]
golisolation: (pic#13062893)

[personal profile] golisolation 2019-04-21 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[The accusation certainly gets a look from the ex-gang leader. This kid certainly had some distorted memories of their interactions. It's not that Guzma wouldn't break a child's arm, or fight dirty in a Pokèmon battle, but he certainly hadn't done any of that to Sun.]

What the hell are you talkin' about?

[He turns to face him more now, the look of confusion plane on his face.]

I never broke your arm.

[As the two are talking, Golisopod has made his way over, looking at Sun with an expression that contrasts the one of cruelty he had during the battle. That dangerous determination to win, now replaced with something arguably softer. He even lets out a soft trill at the young trainer.]
hundredmillyen: (pic#13068979)

[personal profile] hundredmillyen 2019-04-21 01:11 pm (UTC)(link)
[And the confusion continues, can two idiots finally figure things out? Stay tuned. The ease in which Guzma denies his actions and the very apparent confusion on Guzma's face has Sun tilting his head slightly. His brows furrowing as he tries to puzzle out this very hard problem. There was no denying this Guzma was vastly different than his last encounters with him back in Alola. Really he didn't even compare to what Sun knew. This Guzma seemed soft?]

Wait wait— you never answered my question.

[He glanced over to the approaching bug, obviously a bit nervous as he looked up to the giant isopod. There was no doubt it's demeanor had changed, definitely a tad softer than it was in battle. Ultimately Sun knew not to blame the pokemon for it's actions, it was his trainer who had it break his arm. He couldn't help his gut reaction though, but still he gave a small smile over to the bug.]

How do you know me? What do you remember.
golisolation: (my reddit homies wouldnta dun me like th)

[personal profile] golisolation 2019-04-21 01:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[Can their two brain cells work together for them to solve this simple issue? The answer is: probably not.

He'd greatly resent Sun thinking him as soft, but the truth is he was in comparison to the Guzma this Sun was aware of. The other him more of a psychopath than he ever thought to be—while endangering his grunts and all of Alola, he never did it so directly as this other him did. He actively cared about his grunts and their lives.

Golisopod, for his part, is glad to see the small smile. However, he can sense the tentativeness from the boy, and he keeps his distance for now.]

Tch, fine. It's weird tellin' you this—but this whole thing's weird.

[He tilts his head to the side as he thinks of how to start, his eyes looking upwards away from Sun as he contemplates it all.]

You and me used to be enemies, but I'd say now we're more on the same side. Ya cleaned up the mess me and Madam Prez made tryin' to capture Necrozma, and after I disbanded Team Skull, we teamed up to take out Rainbow Rocket when they took over the Aether Foundation. The champ and your boy did quite a number on 'em, that's for sure.

[There's obviously way more details than that, but he finds it a good enough summary. Guzma never cared about the finer details, just the general meat of it all was good enough.]

—but you don't remember none of that, huh?

[Sun nods along as he listens to Guzma's retelling of events, eager to get to the bottom of this whole confusing mess. Honestly though? You lost him with your first sentence. The idea of him and Guzma being on the same side was pretty mind boggling. Still though he stayed silent as Guzma finished summarizing what he knew of him, the only thing changing was his expression the longer it went. Confusion, amazement, then disbelief.]

Hmm...

[Sun crossed his arms and closed his eyes. Clearly giving this some real thought as his head tilted from side to side.]

Yeah, no that wasn't me. Champion? Me? Since when did Alola have a league anyways? [He shook his head, feeling slightly bad for the other trainer. Clearly him and his supposed double went through a lot. It explained the familiarity in how the man spoke to him, but none of that happened to him.]

Sorry, I don't remember any of that. [He considered leaving it at that, but the least he could do was fill Guzma in on his side of things. It wouldn't feel right otherwise. Even though they had pretty much been doing that this entire time with the misunderstandings.]

The first time I saw you, you showed up to a battle tournament the Kahuna was holding. Though I think you were more so there to get back at me for beating some of your grunts? [Not really sure.] We battled, I won—that's when you broke my arm by the way. You didn't stick around though. Next time I saw you is in Po Town battling with all the island captains and summoning a bunch of Ultra Beasts from wormholes.

[A pause as he racks his brain for any other details. Honestly he was telling the truth when he said he only knew of Guzma. He hadn't had much interaction with him.]

That was the last we saw of you. You really didn't do any of that? [Just checking...]

It got a league only recently. Not that I was too happy with that at first.

[Guzma doesn't exactly look... pleased by what Sun has to say. It all sounds so ridiculous. Well, not entirely. Some of that shit he'd do, like barging in on a tournament to get back at a kid who crossed him? Yeah, not unheard of. Breaking a kid's arm? Probably. Totally ditching a tournament after he lost? Definitely.

But, summoning a bunch of Ultra Beasts into Po Town? Taking on all the trial captains at once sounds sick as hell, and he'd totally do it, but not at such a high cost...]

Yeah—I ain't done none of that. I won't deny that some of that shit I'd do, but nah. That wasn't me.

[It might have been Guzma, but it wasn't this Guzma. Which just leaves him wondering what that even means. Can there be multiple hims? Multiple Alolas? He knew about the alternate dimensions, and all that sorta shit, and Anabel had mentioned something that eluded to her not being "home", but...]

Augh!

[He exclaims suddenly, hands ruffling his hair as he closes his eyes in annoyance, shaking his head.]

This shit's too much!

[With everything happening in Alola from needing to pacify the Tapu and all the Ultra Beasts showing up, Sun highly doubted there was time for a league to form. It did confirm what he was very slowly gathering the longer they talked though. He knew people here came from many different worlds and at least heard of time differences with other people. He just didn't think it'd apply to Alola. What else could this all mean though? If the miss was here she probably would have figured this out ages ago, oh well though.

He does shoot a wary look to Guzma as he certainly doesn't deny that he'd do those things. Smh, he knew you were bad Guzma. Before Sun could verbalize what he was thinking though, Guzma is suddenly shouting and fussing his hair up leaving Sun to awkwardly step back and wait for his outburst to end.]

I uh, wouldn't think too hard on it. I hardly understand the Ultra Wormholes as is.

[Despite this being a different Guzma, this wasn't a man he could trust. It didn't matter what the other had went through with alternate him. He still worked with the Aether Foundation. The way he casually mentioned 'Madam Prez', it was something that would never sit right with him. As long as they could just perhaps ignore each other? Not get in each others way? Sun wasn't looking for a fight so that would be fine for him.

Glancing down, he saw the pile of fruit he dropped earlier as a thought crossed his mind. He thoughtfully picked up a few of the fruit and turned to hold them out for Golisopod.]

I won't charge you this time. So go ahead.

[If the giant bug takes them he'll then go to pick up more and let out his Meowth to heal him up as well.]
