Welcome to Empatheias' plotting and CR meme! Please fill out the form below with all of the necessary information. Then go forth and reply to others, plot, make friends, have shenanigans!

The Plot and CR meme will be posted on the first of each month, and will be posted once the intro posts have been posted, and again during the mid-month announcement. We highly encourage everyone to check the post from time to time, even if a week has passed. You never know what kind of opportunities you could be missing!

INSTRUCTIONS

• Feel free to use the "Open Mingling Announcements" and "Task Board Recruitment" top levels for better focused organisation. Note: Any large scale group plots should still be posted to the OOC community proper.

• For more general plotting and to talk about CR you wish to build, create your own top level following the format below. Put your character's name in the subject line, or your name in the subject line if you have more than one character.

• Fill out the form and comment away! The top level relating to the task board has a different form, catered specifically to task board related things, as well.

• Tip! If mentioning tasks, include both the task ID and a brief two-word blurb to easily identify (eg., ST0602 Giant Fish).

Open Mingling Announcements | Task Board Recruitment

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

Character Name: Zero
Canon: Mega Man Zero 4
Brief Personality: Cold, stoic, and occasionally impatient robot soldier, though he can be a very encouraging mentor when the need arises. He's confident and sure of himself, and will always give his honest opinion on things - even if it leads to him getting yelled at for being rude, thanks to how socially detached he is and how little he cares about other people's opinions (a thing he's slowly getting better at). The serious sort who'll suddenly pull out a punny one-liner before a major fight. Takes some time to warm up, but once you're past the icy exterior, you've got a loyal and supportive friend for life who'll gladly take a hit or ten in your stead.
Appearance: He's an android, and up close he looks a fair amount like one to those who know what androids are. His armor is an unfortunate fashion disaster and he could not give less of a crap about that. I always welcome people giving him crap about it anyway, though. He will occasionally remove his armor and wear things like the Verens-equivalent of a hoodie, hats, and general business casual things (button-down shirts and slacks, or similar to this). His hair goes down to the middle of his calves, too, and always looks silky.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: A mix of both, with a heavier ADVENTURE lean! Being from an action platformer series where 90% of his life was fighting and having bad things happen to him, he's very detached from general society and is more comfortable in dangerous scenarios. That said, I do greatly enjoy putting him in slice of life scenarios as he doesn't know how to handle most of them, provided the scenario isn't TOO silly or too slice of life (he can't eat or drink, so taking him to a coffee shop to chat won't work). So while I prefer adventure stuff for Zero as he's more in his natural element there, totally safe stuff like cooking or teaching skills or whatever is just as good.
Current Activities/Developments: I largely ghosted with my characters due to personal things, but Zero still got some things done in the Thras investigation and hunting down the rebels, as well as going on an adventure with Rokurou in Elios's domain. For December, Zero will be largely ignoring the festivities beyond acknowledging that they exist, maybe having a quiet night with his fiancee, and giving gifts to a very small circle of close friends - which in turn will lead him to being surprised if anyone outside that circle (Ciel, Kor, Ion, and Sora) actually get something for him. He's not a party guy, and while he could possibly be dragged to one, he'd ultimately leave the first chance he sees. Doesn't help when he can't eat or drink! I still welcome others at least trying to get him into the spirit of things, so long as it's understood he's not about to make a 180 on his grouchy opinions regarding holidays and festivals overnight.
Future Developments: I eventually want to move Zero from being an Enforcer to a more dangerous profession, though I am having some trouble nailing down something that would work in the setting and not just sit in handwave land forever. I'm considering a shipping service for valuable or unique items (similar to the Giro Express in MMZX, run by a character who is essentially an expy for Zero), but I'm probably going to have to workshop it for a while before I figure something out. Character development-wise, Zero is getting less cold and more open to working with people he'd usually ignore or leave to someone else to take care of, so while he's still detached from society and such, he IS getting better at dealing with people! ~~being a good husband/fiance is something else but will also get worked on once a certain someone yells at him for it~~
Shipping/Romance: Zero is happily engaged and soon to be married to Ionasal.kkll.Preciel (aka Nei Yuuki), and won't be looking elsewhere. As he is a robot pretty boy to a nearly androgynous degree, I don't mind him getting hit on or others having crushes on him despite this, but please be advised that he won't reciprocate. ... And his fiancee will probably give them icy smiles if she sees them.

Seeking: Other robots/artificial beings, fellow soldiers, other characters from war-torn worlds, characters who'd be willing to coax him into trying new things, sparring and hunting partners!
Offering: A cold mentor-type who will either be grouchy as hell or surprisingly encouraging and thoughtful (or both, as time goes on). Zero is also willing to train characters he sees potential in, in terms of refining skills that already exist but may not be getting utilized to their fullest.
Not Interested In/Avoiding: Only extreme slice of life is what I'm avoiding for Zero, especially with newly started CR, as he is not a chatty person and is even less so with those he doesn't already know. ~~This is for both of our sanities, trust me.~~ I'm only chill with super SoL if it's being played for laughs with both of us going into it knowing Zero is going to be a wall with an ellipses scrawled on it.
