  ✾ MISTLETOE MEME ✾

All right guys, since we can't do this in-game, we shall have an OOC meme for it instead! Nothing will carry over into the game, so just have fun with it. Here's how it works:

• You are stuck under a random mistletoe.
• There is a note on said mistletoe.
• Whoever comes within range will be pulled under the mistletoe and also be stuck.
• Now you both have to do what the note says to get unstuck.
• EMOTIONS ARE STILL IN EFFECT so have fun with that.

State your preferences!

1. Hug. Easy enough. Can be a simple hug or a giant bear hug.
2. Kiss on the cheek. For those who might be a little shier.
3. Kiss on the hand. For those who want to be...well, whatever kissing on the hand invokes. Charming? Dashing?
4. Kiss on the forehead. Because sometimes you have to brush their hair out of their faces, and that's cute.
5. Kiss on the lips. 1-2-3 KISS. This is the tame version of the next one.
6. Make-out for five minutes. That escalated quickly!

7. Ship crystals! Some of the mistletoe this year is attached to large crystals, and "just a kiss" is not gonna help you here. No, these things want fluff. In addition to kisses, they want you to hold hands, and sit in a cute shop drinking a milkshake out of one glass with two straws, and give each other flowers, and all manner of other disgusting shippy things. And it will not let you separate until you have filled it with enough fluff drops to satisfy it*. Use a variety of different kisses to speed the process up and enjoy your temporary new significant other! Hopefully one or both of you is romantic enough to think of things to do. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

*You can move around and go on cute dates. It will float over your heads as you wander like a horrible crystal voyeur.

A familiar bottle appears between his fingers, and Jekyll reluctantly uncorks the gilded stopper. If Hyde is necessary to free them from the enchanted mistletoe, then...

The transition is swift. The good doctor stiffens, his gaze turning distant for a moment—before his eyes change, brightening to a fierce crimson red. The glasses disappear off his face, his clothes adjusting accordingly to Hyde's preferences: villainously disheveled, exposing the bloodstained shirt he hides under his vest. His knife even finds its way into his hand, and he grins darkly, twirling the blade.

"I'm here!" Hyde is more than ready for a fight... but it gradually dawns on him that there's no battle actually going on. Where are the enemies? He glances around, surprised, but the only person nearby is Ritsuka.

His weapon vanishes.

"Uh... Master?" It would probably be a good idea for him to comb through Jekyll's recent memories, because he has no idea what's going on. Why would Jekyll even call him out if there's nothing to fight? That's stupid.

"The kiss? While being forced into it is far from my preference..." She has SOME standards.

[schmisse]

... Yes. There is.

[ She just looks up at the note, hoping he'll get the hint. Does she look happy? No. Of course not. This is stupid. ]

Maybe it's just someone's emotions?

[ She turns to try and move the other way, but she smacks herself on the forehead, too. ]

[ He almost adds something along the lines of " or am I banished from this home too" but he holds his tongue. ]

"Hello, Hyde." Ritsuka gives him a bit of an apologetic look at his confusion. "Apparently we need your help with something..."

She'll give him a moment if he wants to get himself filled in from Jekyll's memories before explaining further.

[Noel's eyes drift upwards to that plant above Caius' head.]

[Following her gaze he sees the note and comes a little closer to check what the text says. Oh Etro-- It does as it's said on the tin and Noel finds his feet glued to the floor.]

[ All that time with Gabranth must have helped cheer him up. She's glad, though, since she wanted to give him some space for a bit. The holidays coming up, though? No chance of that. Gotta figure out how to sneak what he wants out of him, after all!

She smiles wide and bright at him. ]

Well, hey! Aren't you a sight for sore eyes? [ Her hands on her hips, though less stiff and more playful. ] How's it hangin'?

[ He is trying to be “nice” because Yeul’s said it was a requirement for this strange holiday. ]

[ His eyes followed Noel’s gaze and a soft huff slipped out. This plant...]

[ .... He lets out a sigh, his gaze trailing off anywhere but at Noel. It was rather humiliating. ]

It appears I’ve found myself in some kind of barrier.

[Noel turns to leave because he's sure Yeul will find him eventually but as he does so he finds that his feet are also... stuck.]

[ How curious... He expected Noel to be long gone by now. But there he was still standing there. He highly doubted it was because he was having second thoughts or anything of that nature. So why would he. . .

A smirk started forming on his lips.]

[Caius has to know what this means right? Right? Ugh.]

Well yeah, but if Master's here, obviously he's not going to get to run wild. No, Hyde, DON'T stab people. It's like she's trying to be his conscience or something.

"My help?" With what exactly? Hyde decides to fill himself in, and—he immediately bursts out laughing.

Oh man. Oh man! That idiot kissed Master? And he was so lame about it! Over a little kiss!

If Ritsuka can accept that Hyde likes to stab people and that's just how he is, surely he can accept that she doesn't like it when people are stabbed. And if he wants to continue being contracted with her, he'll just have to deal.

She'll take that laughter as a sign that he's all up to date on the situation, though.

"So, apparently we can't leave until you get a kiss, too."

Clarus actually raises an eyebrow at the title- but considering the time Clarus has spent hanging out with a certain someone, he supposes he shouldn't be surprised he's learned of his title.

"Just Clarus will do, my title hardly matters in this place." He says, even if he still refers to Regis and Noctis by their proper titles when the situation calls for it. "Be careful, son. I wouldn't walk around under these plants if I were you."

Hugging Regis? Ok. Hugging Regis because he's being forced to by a dumb, dumb plant? A little less okay. But it's fine, it's okay, and Regis' brand of what he considers humor actually gets him to snort.

"I am very glad to see you, my friend, but I'd be even more glad if we could get on with it so we could both move."

Hyde wipes a tear away from his eye, once his uncontrollable laughter eases. Seriously, it's just a kiss. What's the big deal?

"That moron would rather be stuck here forever than let me kiss you, y'know." Hyde seems far too pleased by the knowledge that Jekyll hates this turn of events. Serves Dr. Goody Two-Shoes right, honestly, thinking he can hog Master all to himself.

Although he doesn't call attention to the change, his teeth lose their particularly sharp quality. He's being accommodating, in his own way, even if he'd never admit it.

[ He doesn't understand what the plant is or how it seems to function, but he understands enough to know Noel is stuck in this force field as well which brings him a great joy. ]

I see, so you must have changed your mind then.

[He's using the sharp edge of the knife to continue in his attempts to shear the little sprig down. Cutting loose branches and berries--and yet, the more he cuts free, it feels like the more he has to cut through.

It's when Jekyll speaks again, does it get his attention. The extremely rude words hitting a nerve as he glares down at him with an irritated look. When did the good doctor get the gall to--

[He says the others' name with no small amount of annoyance, before turning the knife handle towards the other. Fine. You have a go, then.
