✾ MISTLETOE MEME ✾

All right guys, since we can't do this in-game, we shall have an OOC meme for it instead! Nothing will carry over into the game, so just have fun with it. Here's how it works:

• You are stuck under a random mistletoe.
• There is a note on said mistletoe.
• Whoever comes within range will be pulled under the mistletoe and also be stuck.
• Now you both have to do what the note says to get unstuck.
• EMOTIONS ARE STILL IN EFFECT so have fun with that.

State your preferences!

1. Hug. Easy enough. Can be a simple hug or a giant bear hug.
2. Kiss on the cheek. For those who might be a little shier.
3. Kiss on the hand. For those who want to be...well, whatever kissing on the hand invokes. Charming? Dashing?
4. Kiss on the forehead. Because sometimes you have to brush their hair out of their faces, and that's cute.
5. Kiss on the lips. 1-2-3 KISS. This is the tame version of the next one.
6. Make-out for five minutes. That escalated quickly!

7. Ship crystals! Some of the mistletoe this year is attached to large crystals, and "just a kiss" is not gonna help you here. No, these things want fluff. In addition to kisses, they want you to hold hands, and sit in a cute shop drinking a milkshake out of one glass with two straws, and give each other flowers, and all manner of other disgusting shippy things. And it will not let you separate until you have filled it with enough fluff drops to satisfy it*. Use a variety of different kisses to speed the process up and enjoy your temporary new significant other! Hopefully one or both of you is romantic enough to think of things to do. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

*You can move around and go on cute dates. It will float over your heads as you wander like a horrible crystal voyeur.

Kiyohi has to pause now, as she thinks.

"... A plant that people kiss under and a crystal to be filled with fluff? Is someone playing a joke?"

"Probably... Maybe we can ignore that part if we don't know what to do?"

Much as she doesn't like to encourage Kiyohime too much, she doesn't really consider a quick kiss a big deal, either. Just so long as the wrong meaning isn't read into it, at least. And she remembers the magic handcuffs from last month, it's entirely possible the mistletoe has been somehow rigged in a similar way, anyway.

"Ah, so you want to follow along with this tradition? While I would prefer a different scene, I won't say no. Please be as gentle or rough as you like."

She will take every meaning here.

At last, he does the deed. Jekyll steels his nerve and leans in the rest of the way, grateful for his Master's patience as he presses a gentle kiss to her lips. He did it...!

He's too shy to linger, quickly pulling back once the kiss has successfully been delivered.

"Master..."

She resists the urge to give an amused grin, instead just giving him a (mostly) gentle smile instead.

"Guess it's my turn now... Are you ready?"

Tempting though it might be to not give him any warning and see how much he blusters and flails, she'll be nice. At least for now.

He would be grateful for that if he knew, considering she likely would've given him a heart attack otherwise.

"Yes, I am." Jekyll smiles. Just one more kiss and they'll be free of this weird holiday curse.

Can Servants even get heart attacks...? But in any case, unlike Jekyll, Ritsuka doesn't hesitate. He's a bit taller than her, so she has lean up on her toes a bit (and possibly reach out to pull him down that last little bit if he doesn't think to do so himself), giving him a simple, brief kiss before pulling away.

"That should do it, right?"

"It's not that exactly, but..."

Well, first, she's going to try seeing if she can step back away from here. When that completely fails to work, she looks at Kiyohime again.

"Just to test something, can you try walking away for a bit first?"

Fortunately, his necktie provides an easy handle to bring him down to her level, and when she pulls back, Jekyll is... sparkling. Just a little. The tiny glints of light appear and disappear in the air around him, reflecting the bubbly warmth in his chest.

"Yes... yes, I think so." Belatedly, he thinks to try and step back, but—

His legs don't budge.

"... An odd test, but I can." Kiyo feels like she should protest, but she feels like this isn't going to end up as a repeat of Anchin.

So she tries, and nothing really happens. So she tries again and gets nowhere. She tries once more, using every ounce of might a Servant would have, that goes beyond the realm of mortal beings... and nothing.

"I... I... appear to be stuck. I cannot move, no matter how hard I try. I feel as though I am more likely to rip the floor apart than move right now." And considering what she is... she could.

Ritsuka blinks. It was clear Jekyll was about to leave, and yet... Well, she can always step away herself if that's better.

... Except apparently she can't.

"It didn't work?"

To judge from how puzzled she looks and sounds, she can't think of what they possibly could have done wrong.

See? Regardless of what your Master feels about your advances, she's not going to be that mean to you.

"That's what I thought... I guess it is some kind of joke or trick, and won't let us leave until we do what it wants."

Not that she minds terribly, but she's concerned about that crystal there.

"Ah..." His brow furrows in confusion, and he brings the original note back up. The paper is a little crumpled from how tightly he was gripping it before, but it's still readable.

"The note says 'a kiss for each', which is what we did. Why is that not..." He trails off, as an absolutely horrible notion pops into his head. No. That can't be it. That can't be why.

Hyde isn't a person. He doesn't get to count for this. The mistletoe is wrong.

"For each...." Ritsuka mutters, musing on it herself. They had both exchanged kisses, so what more...? Unless....

The idea hits her roughly the same time it does Jekyll, and she glances at him curiously.

"Do you think...?"

Regis pauses. Looks up. Then at Clarus. And a corner of his mouth turns in, though his eyes are soft.

"Good eve, old friend."

Yeah, he doesn't believe that his light tone will fool Clarus.

It doesn't matter that his Saint Graph reads Henry Jekyll & Hyde, this is still just wrong. Master shouldn't have to kiss that.

"It can't be." Yet he has no other possible explanation for why the conditions of the spell haven't been satisfied.

"I can't think of anything else, though..."

Or anyone, for that matter.

[ Ah. Regis tries to call for Iris before she goes into the area of effect of the ~~ceiling booger~~ ornament, but his call of her name is about two steps too late. ]

Iris...

[ Soft breath out that's not actually sigh but. ]

Ah. I would ask you to look up.

Oh look. One (1) young teenager who is no longer all gloomy and blank. In fact, he smiles when he sees the Shield.

He's also learned the proper address from somewhere.

"Lord Clarus." He also knows the full name, but Clarus is what the man introduced himself as, so that is what Larsa will use. "Well met."

[ Oh look. Larsa actually looks and sounds like himself again! ]

Neither can he, unfortunately. His frustrated expression shifts, turning crestfallen as it begins to sink in that there's not really any other option. They'll have to try it and hope for the best.

"Ah... I'm sorry, Master..."

Ventus. [ Larsa smiles, the other boy seems far less... lost, now. ] Well met!

[ He hasn't been around long enough to know what those ceiling things are... ]

[ This teen looks better now than when they first met, at least. He is aware what the older one has done, but he's still clearly glad to see him. ]

"It's fine," she says, and means it. Hyde might be a troublemaker, but she knows he won't hurt her or anything. And really, she can think of worse (FAR worse) Servants to have to kiss, if we're going to be like that.

[ Larsa has been learning who is who, all right. When he sees Iris, he smiles with a small bow - just of the head, but there all the same. ]

[ Proper addresses are proper. Besides, he likes her well enough, so there is honesty in the address, rather than any sort of distance. ]
