Plot & CR With Me: August
Welcome to Empatheias' plotting and CR meme! Please fill out the form below with all of the necessary information. Then go forth and reply to others, plot, make friends, have shenanigans!
The Plot and CR meme will be posted on the first of each month, and will be posted once the intro posts have been posted, and again during the mid-month announcement. We highly encourage everyone to check the post from time to time, even if a week has passed. You never know what kind of opportunities you could be missing!
• Feel free to use the "Open Mingling Announcements" and "Task Board Recruitment" top levels for better focused organisation. Note: Any large scale group plots should still be posted to the OOC community proper.
• For more general plotting and to talk about CR you wish to build, create your own top level following the format below. Put your character's name in the subject line, or your name in the subject line if you have more than one character.
• Fill out the form and comment away! The top level relating to the task board has a different form, catered specifically to task board related things, as well.
• Tip! If mentioning tasks, include both the task ID and a brief two-word blurb to easily identify (eg., ST0602 Giant Fish).

Steven Quartz Universe
Canon: Steven Universe
Brief Personality: A sentimental and goofy teenchild who often acts as a pollyana, though he still has his shares of insecurities and angst. But mostly he wants to try to be a hero and everyone's friend!
Appearance: This is what he looks like and how he most commonly dresses. He looks like a child despite actually being a teenager. And the most distinctive thing about his appearance is a rose quartz gem that he has in place of his belly button.
Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Both! Steven enjoys hanging around and engaging in slice-of-life shenanigans, but he still wants to answer calls to adventure and to do what he can to help others!
Current Activities/Developments: He was most recently having fun at Helisium, although he's also been sad about Pearl going home. He's also getting used to having his mom around while wondering whether or not to confront her about a lot of the things he's heard about her from canon.
Future Developments: In the coming player plot, he'll be playing a support role, and I kinda want him to pull off a rescue at some point if someone's game for that. Beyond that, I'm mostly going with the flow with him, without any big plans beyond generally having him work on his struggles with moral complexity and dealing with lingering issues/trauma from canon.
Shipping/Romance: I'm not looking to ship with him (aside from with a character from canon, Connie), but I'm open to other characters having age appropriate unrequited puppy crushes on him.
Seeking: I'm open to most kinds of CR! Other kids/teens, fellow cinnamon rolls, grumpy/antisocial friends whom he can try to win over. He's also been looking for more people to play music with!
Offering: A very energetic young friend who wants to help anyone with their troubles and be a reliable little bro! Or a persistent morality pal. He also has a bunch of unique abilities that could play into threads, such as healing spit (which has been shown to cure things like bad eyesight and broken legs, and even partially/temporarily combatting corruption effects) and the ability to enter people's dreams/mindscapes when he's asleep (though usually unintentionally).
Not Interested In/Avoiding: I'd prefer to avoid conversations with that are too dark/graphic/sexual and keep things with him around a PG level.

Gundam Tanaka
Canon: Dangan Ronpa
Brief Personality: A chuunibyou/edgelord who tries to hide his caring side and often acts condescending to others, but he is actually great with animals and can become a loyal friend.
Appearance: This is his general appearance and what he usually wears. He has his ridiculous hair, his faked heterochromia (the differently colored eye is a contact lens), a Hell Hound Earring, pale skin, no apparent eyebrows, a scar across one eye (apparently it's a tattoo) and one arm that is always bandaged. He also always wears his scarf, which usually contains four hamsters - or rather, the Four Dark Devas of Destruction.
Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Both! Gundam's ridiculous and over-the-top manner of doing things can make even slice-of-life scenarios feel like an adventure. But he also does like to go out on actual adventures, mostly when there's interesting animals involved.
Current Activities/Developments: He's mostly been up to his usual business, of alternating between spending time with friends, practicing his dunamis and tending to various animals, as well as making trips to Sharnaath every now and then. He's grown a bit more distant over past months with the departure of various people from his world, although he has slowly been building up more friends.
Future Developments: Gundam's development loosely has been a road of getting him to be less distrusting and difficult when dealing with other people. This month, I'm intending to have him run a Choose Your Own Adventure post that was originally intended for last month, and I haven't been sure about what he'd do during the player plot, although I'm tempted to have him badly injured in some way.
Shipping/Romance: Gundam prefers to deny being capable of such feelings because of his demonic facade. He was convinced to try confessing his feelings to Sonia Nevermind, but then she went home, so he's mostly back to burying such feelings. While I lean towards shipping him with Sonia, I could possibly be open to shipping him with someone else depending on the development, and I'm also open to unrequited crushes!
Seeking: Most kinds of friends! People to be baffled by him, people to play along with him, fellow animal lovers and/or people who need help with animals. Light-hearted rivals and enemies are also fun, especially when they can match his level of ridiculousness.
Offering: Someone who will either annoy or entertain your character with how ridiculously he handles everything! But also a possible loyal (while still eccentric!) friend in the making. Someone who can introduce your character to a lot of animals, and to help anyone having trouble with their pets or other animals! He can also act as a dunamis teacher, if a frustrating one!
Not Interested In/Avoiding: Just don't hurt the hamsters and we're good.

could just as easily bug you about this on plurk, buuut i'm intersted in hashing out a bit of handwaving with the dunamis teaching. naturally maki would want to focus on stuff that's useful for combat, and she'll practice a lot on her own time, too. what do you figure he'd start her off with?

But yes good! Well the starters would be the basics of dunamis, of how to meditate and control emotions. He'd probably start her off working on whatever emotion she feels she has the most control over and controlling its reaction, whatever it may be!

no but that makes sense and i could have… looked that up, haha. she feels comfortable with courage/bravery specifically after repping team thras in the great paintball war of '18, but i'm thinking she'll struggle quite a bit at first since she still lacks a lot of emotional courage. plus she's pretty impatient.
it could be fun to do a thread that's like lesson two or three and they could develop some cr over her repeated initial failures. lmk if that strikes your fancy
