Welcome to Empatheias' plotting and CR meme! Please fill out the form below with all of the necessary information. Then go forth and reply to others, plot, make friends, have shenanigans!

The Plot and CR meme will be posted on the first of each month, and will be posted once the intro posts have been posted, and again during the mid-month announcement. We highly encourage everyone to check the post from time to time, even if a week has passed. You never know what kind of opportunities you could be missing!

Brief Personality: Cowboy (class: spaghetti); Nice guy (not the stereotypical 'nice guy' tho); gunslinger; child of Gabriel Reyes (that might say a lot); possibly in a glitter bomb war with Kevin. I'd classify him as Neutral Good, if that helps.

Appearance: Besides the fact he dresses like a stereotypical movie cowboy, there's the shiny metal arm with a skull on it. He really doesn't hide it.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Both! Jesse's finally getting settled into life in Emp, but he's a pretty easy going relaxed guy, so this probably wasn't hard. ADVENTURE! You need a bodyguard, take Jesse! He might not be the dumbass deadlock member he was in his misspent youth, but he's still pretty sharp with Peacekeeper. I'd love anything for him, honestly.

Current Activities/Developments: They just moved in with 'dad' and met the 'sibs'. Possibly started a prank war with one (1) KID Kevin.

Future Developments: I don't currently have any! Which is probably bad, but I tend to play 'here and now' unless something is about to happen that will definitely cause issues in the future.

Shipping/Romance: I'm open for discussion.

Seeking: Anything. Jesse needs friends outside of the 'family' Reyes has going on. Including friends that will get him in trouble. :D

Offering: Protective brother/uncle/father figure, yes. Listening ear that you character has no relationship with, but just needs someone to bounce thoughts off? You got it.

Not Interested In/Avoiding: Death, permanent injury, something that would make his home bounty larger. I don't mind him getting into some trouble, but no huge Deadlock style heists.

Character Name: Ichirou "Shigure" Rangetsu
Canon: Tales of Berseria

Brief Personality: Charming and relatively friendly social guy who loves to fight tough opponents. He can be blunt a lot of the time, doesn't lie or sugarcoat things, and likes to tease his little brother, Rokurou. Very fiery personality and goes after what he wants when he's got his eye on it and even with his love for fighting, he's all about fighting fair. He can also be a bit infuriating in the sense that he's forever positive/optimistic and never lets anything (seemingly) get to him. Just brush that shit off and off you go!

Appearance: Well he typically doesn't wear much for a shirt but we're gonna change that up a bit. He has a long scar across his chest that his little brother dealt to him before his coming here but other than that, he's got golden eyes, long black hair, and is pretty muscular thanks to years of training and fighting.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Shigure will forever default to adventure stuff since he gets bored but slice of life is also good since he's never really had much of one to just be CHILL with.

Current Activities/Developments: Oh boy! Shigure only just arrived last month and he's made Rokurou's life go all topsy turvy since there's CONFLICTING FEELS with having his big bro here finally. He's met with most of the Berseria cast here, gotten a feel for Rokurou's current situation in this world, and finally met the mysterious "hair tie babe" at Helisium. He's also currently in the market for a sword since he needs a new one and will probably be getting himself a cabin somewhere for him and Morgrim (his kitty malak companion) that will need some fixing up.

Future Developments: Oh boy again! At some point I'm planning to have Shigure forgo his amulet for a little to try and "build up a resistance" to the apathy and emotion drainage that happens since it fits perfectly with his having Morgrim bind his strength to get stronger so I mean... of course he'll do that??? We'll see how long he lasts before needing to put that thing back on.

Shipping/Romance: He is single and ready to mingle! Just keep in mind that he's 31 but yeah, I'm totally down and open to it. FOR THE MOST PART flings are probably going to be a thing that happens or a friends with benefits thing?? If you want that with him, hit me up, let's discuss, I'm open to it. An actual relationship might take a bit since he's a Rangetsu and tends to keep a lot of stuff/his more vulnerable side to himself but I'm not saying it's not impossible. ;)

Seeking: Friends! Strong opponents! Fellow cat lovers! Seriously, he loves cats.

Offering: A fun guy who has plenty of stories about smol Rokurou if you ever want to hear them. He loves to fight and drink, have a good time, and not let all the little things in life get him down. If you need someone to call you on your bullshit, boy oh boy is he good for that.

Canon: Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Brief Personality: A wise and fearless knight with an unstable sense of worth that leads to spiteful behaviour. He's arrogant and imperious while beneath that he is a man given to mischief. He's a schemer who's quick to chew people out, who abhors liars and cowards, who sadly doesn't realize his anger is problematic. But at least he's well-spoken?

Appearance: 100% honourable man who is a demon.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Both! He's interested in building a new life; meaning there's the possibility of putting his chivalry and skills to use to train others, etc. Friends might help him change into a better person now he's away from bad influences. Being intellectually curious means he can get involved in world-exploration quite easily.

Current Activities/Developments: Jasper's been making friends, learning about different organisations. He'll likely be helping the Luminary run his armoury. He's also accepting work that matches his experience; slaying monsters and bandits and the like. He's notably sympathetic to the local monster population. Lastly, he was notably absent from Helisium festivities for his friendly CR.

Future Developments: I'd like to see how Jasper might become the person he could have been without Mordegon's influence. He destroyed his home because he gave up on dreams and happiness, and there's emotional confusion over being somewhere without his master. Getting his demon form out there and having it affect his CR and characterisation is also something I'd like to explore. For any suspicious characters, it's the reason he was unaffected by Gem.

Shipping/Romance: Yes but he's fixated on someone back home. He's also 36 years old so I'm not interested in age differences, etc.

Seeking: People who zealously hate demons! People who might be sympathetic to demons. People he can bond with. Fellow villains he can chill with. Heroes who will smother him with the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP.

Offering: Jasper makes it easy to gain both positive and negative CR. He has a temper but follows a twisted code that values honesty and brotherhood. He's open for all sorts of development.

Canon: Banana Fish

Brief Personality: Sarcastic and rude, Ash is someone who can take a joke as well as give one. Beneath the sometimes-harsh personality is someone who cares but that doesn't negate the darker side of him.

Appearance: He's very blonde with very green eyes. Ash's body can be a bit slender which hides his skill as a fighter.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: I'm leaning more into slice of life but with a hint of adventure. Ash grew up in New York where times are tough so I'd really like to see him find some peace here.

He is a fighter and I do welcome adventure, battles, and negative CR.

Current Activities/Developments: Right now, Ash is trying to figure out how to live a life without the ultra-violence he once knew. He plans on making money through hunts, but he spends a bit of time at the library as well. He's also spending a lot of time expanding his emotional magic since he's a human dropped into a world that seems to be full of superheroes.

Future Developments: I want to develop the softer side of Ash. He really is a good guy , and he hasn't given up on people, but he has a bit of a wall. I'd like to expand his list of friends, have him settle in, and maybe find a real job since he assumes he'll never be more than a street thug and will die early

Shipping/Romance: Sure, if they happen. Ash is bisexual. Despite warnings as detailed here, he does still have an interest in dating. It's not something he'll seek, but if he finds it, it's not something he'll completely ignore.

Seeking: Kind characters who are willing to be patient, punk characters willing to give as good as they get, continued CR that gets deep. I need me some deep CR.

Offering: A sarcastic punk with a much bigger brain than he normally shows. He also has a soft spot for kids and despite himself, won't ignore someone in trouble.

Canon: Final Fantasy XV

Brief Personality: A dork who wants to be cooler than he is. He's finally coming into his own and finding the King inside of himself. He values fairness and hates to be valued for being royalty.

Appearance: Noctis has very dark hair and eyes but very pale skin. He's on the smaller side for a male, which he denies very much.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: No preference. Noctis is a fighter, but he's also enjoying a chance to live as something other than a prince so he's enjoying life.

Current Activities/Developments: Noctis is learning to be fairer and to think diplomatically. He's making closer connections with his soon-to-be brother-in-law and is planning a wedding. He currently works as a cat cafe because they let him play with cats. His fishing is just as ridiculous as ever. Prompto has left but Regis has returned so Noctis has conflicting feelings.

Future Developments: Aside from the wedding, I have no specific plans. Deepening CR and getting more invested in the setting is always on the list.

Shipping/Romance: I'm completely open to one-sided crushes, but Noctis is madly in love with Lunafreya.

Seeking: Hit me up. I'm completely open on this. There's no one I don't want.

Offering: Someone kind and a bit dorky. Noctis has a soft spot for kids and is willing to play hero while giving some dorky line he finds cool.

Brief Personality: A cool, calm, and collected person that seems ready to protect and mentor the people around him. He gives off a cool big brother vibe, but I worry about his allergy to fun.

Appearance: At 5'll, he's on the tall side with black hair and deep blue eyes.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Either/or. Mamoru isn't useless in battle, but I don't want to ignore slice of life, either.

Current Activities/Developments: He's taken a job at a doctor's office in order to shadow him once his other duties are cared for. Usagi's birthday was soon after he arrived so he's trying to settle in after dealing with the fog and then planning something to make up for lost time.

Future Developments: He'll continue trying to protect the world around him. I want him to deepen his ties to canon CR, but I want him to branch out and get a solid grasp with cross-canon, too. I'd also like to delve deeper into his issues. Mamoru has a habit of taking on the world without sharing his burdens, and I want to explore that.

Shipping/Romance: I'm open to one-sided crushes, but Mamoru is very obviously and forever taken by Usagi.

Seeking: People to look after, people to look after him, people who will drag him into having fun.

Offering: A caring mentor, someone to offer a helping hand, or give advice even when it's hard.

Brief Personality: Very nice and supportive, often smiling. She will try to smile even when her emotional effects are clearly illustrating that she's very sad, because deep down that's what she is. Loves helping people.

Appearance: She's got long green hair and green eyes. Her chest is...not small, and her usual canon dress has an opening riiiight in the middle of it. On rare occasions, she can be seen with shiny pink wings.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Still focusing more on slice of life, but she can handle adventures and I am totally open to discussing some!

Current Activities/Developments: The guy she was engaged to before she died just showed up here. And his initial reaction was Not Good for a good reason. Also it's kind of throwing a wrench in her "just ignore thinking about sad things" approach around here. And she's at Helisium.

Future Developments: I definitely think that she'll need to deal with how seriously depressed her nightmarish existence has left her soon, if only because she has to face someone else who's gone through all of it. When "soon" is for someone who's been around 4000 years, I dunno. I also really want her to get more involved with the Otherworlders and doing things around here. Eventually I'd like to look into Dunamis use, but she should probably face her actual emotions first.

Shipping/Romance: I'm open to discussing it as always, but it may need to be more one-sided at this time? Yuan's here, I need people to realize she apparently has no taste. ...I'm not saying that's a true statement, but it's certainly a conclusion I would expect most people to come to initially.

Seeking: People she can support and/or vice versa! I'm definitely okay with people who don't like her, but seeing as she's used to being a victim of racial prejudice and died in a situation that wasn't quite a hate crime but that element still stood out, it'll take a lot for her to dislike somebody back.

Offering: A big sister/not!mom type. Has healing and battle support magic. She likes to help people with just about anything, including tending to the sick or dealing with emotional control.

Not Interested In/Avoiding: Not looking to have her die here any time soon. Otherwise, please feel free to approach me with anything you may want to look into!

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: She tends to lean a bit more towards Slice of Life, although she can get involved in more depending on the adventure
Current Activities/Developments: She'd been crystallized for the past month, so right now she's just seeing what might have changed and probably missing the friends that disappeared.
Future Developments: I don't really have anything plans for her. She might be taking some lessons with Michiru and Aqua, in addition to lessons she's already taking with Usagi, but other than that I don't have anything in mind. She probably needs a job, though.
Shipping/Romance: I would love to ship her with someone!

Seeking: All the friends please! She keeps losing some when she goes away heh
Offering: Would you like a sweet, normally quiet girl who likes animals and music and will likely knit you things? She's also a great listener, and will not mind sitting in silence if you'd like.

Canon: Steven Universe
Brief Personality: A good-natured young lad who wants to befriend everyone, but he also carries his fair share of angst and problems.
Appearance: This is what he looks like and how he most commonly dresses. He's very small and looks like a child (around eight years old physically) despite actually being a teenager. And the most distinctive thing about his appearance is a pink gem that he has in place of his belly button, though that’s usually covered by his shirt. Also he’s sometimes accompanied by a large pink lion!

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Both! Steven enjoys hanging around and engaging in slice-of-life shenanigans, but he still wants to answer calls to adventure and to do what he can to help those who need it!
Current Activities/Developments: He hasn't had much going on - he chilled out after the Gem event and had some fun at Helisium. Now he's also missing Pearl again.
Future Developments: Steven will be circulating a series of YA novels from home known as the Spirit Morph Saga and is also available to use his dream-hopping powers to help others. I’m also thinking of involving him in the Theasthai investigation! Also, he may be facing a big canon update in abouy two months, so this month may be one of the last chances for shenanigans with a tiny Steven!
Shipping/Romance: None here! I only really ship Steven with one person from his canon and don’t really have any interest in cross-canon shipping him. Age appropriate characters are still allowed to have one-sided crushes on him, however.

Seeking: I'm open to most kinds of CR! Other kids/teens, fellow cinnamon rolls, grumpy/antisocial friends whom he can try to win over, and people to do music stuff with!
Offering: A very energetic young friend who wants to help anyone with their troubles! He also has a bunch of unique abilities that could play into threads, such as healing spit (which has been shown to cure things like bad eyesight and broken legs) and the ability to enter people's dreams when he's asleep (sometimes unintentionally).
Not Interested In/Avoiding: Subject matter that is too dark/bleak/graphic and sexual content. Mostly the kind of stuff that would break Steven and/or is too difficult to thread him dealing with. Feel free to run things by me if you’re not sure if something crosses a line!

Anything Else:

Gundam Tanaka

Character Name: Gundam Tanaka
Canon: Dangan Ronpa
Brief Personality: A chuunibyou/edgelord who tries to hide his caring side and often acts condescending to others, but he is also great with all sorts of animals and has the potential to be a loyal friend.
Appearance: This is his general appearance and what he usually wears. He has his ridiculous hair, his faked heterochromia (the differently colored eye is a contact lens), a Hell Hound Earring, pale skin, no apparent eyebrows, a scar across one eye (apparently it's a tattoo) and one arm that is always bandaged. He also always wears his scarf, which usually contains four hamsters - or rather, the Four Dark Devas of Destruction.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Both! Gundam's ridiculous and over-the-top manner of doing things can make even slice-of-life feel like an adventure. But he also does like to go out on actual adventures, mostly when there's interesting animals involved.
Current Activities/Developments: He’s mostly been keeping up with his normal stuff (looking after various animals, honing his dunamis, occasionally hanging out with actual human beings) and has been more standoffish towards others.
Future Developments: I’m partly going with the flow and trying to build up CR with him! But I am looking to have him do some investigating in Sharnaath, so he could use a partner for that. In terms of other tasks, he has some interest in trying to make furniture cry, trying to save a Cracker Phoenix and possibly dealing with a Bifronze. I have also thought about canon updating him, although I don’t know yet if I will do it this month.
Shipping/Romance: As an edgelord, he likes to pretend that he’s above having shippy feelings than others. However, he can and has developed feelings for other beings. Depending on the development, he could potentially be open to shipping with others. It would just most likely be slow-burn and with Gundam being difficult before accepting it.

Seeking: Various kinds of friends! People to be baffled by him, people to play along with him, fellow animal lovers and/or people who need help with animals. Light-hearted rivals and enemies, fellow chuuni edgelords, are also fun.
Offering: Someone who will annoy and/or entertain your character with how ridiculously he handles everything! But also a possible loyal (while still eccentric!) friend in the making. Someone who can introduce your character to a lot of animals, and to help anyone having trouble with their pets or other animals! He could also act as a dunamis instructor!
Not Interested In/Avoiding: Not much that comes to mind! Just don’t hurt his hamsters, and I’d prefer to generally avoid situations for him where he’s helpless to prevent animal cruelty.

Shouto Todoroki

Character Name: Shouto Todoroki
Canon: My Hero Academia
Brief Personality: A little cliché, but he's a bit like his Quirk (the dual ability of creating fire and ice)— passionate and driven, with a bit of a temper, but cool and collected. While not loud about it, he's very motivated when it comes to his goals, and willing to put in the hard work. He tends to be more serious than not, and isn't the most social person; in general he's very new when it comes to making friends, but does make the effort. Additionally, he's a bit earnest to a fault, possesses a streak of naivety, and is kind and considerate, if in a quiet sort-of way.
Appearance: Both his eyes and hair display heterochromia! On the right he has white hair and a grey eye, and on the left it's red and teal, respectively, with there also being a large burn scar around his left eye.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Currently leaning more towards SOL, however he definitely has it in him for adventure and action based scenarios.

Current Activities/Developments: He's been working through a few certain/newer emotions, but is feeling positive about them. Maintaining Verens' ice skating rink is always a thing, too, as is his continued quest on strengthening his Dunamis skills. — I also am still open for more tag-ins on his Helisium toplevel.

Future Developments: Does adopting a fourth pet turn his apt into a petting zoo. . . .

Shipping/Romance: A bit of something is in the works, but I am more than fine with any one sided crushes. ;)

Seeking: FRIENDS!! Any and all types who could fill that role, including others his age. Older sibling or teacher type characters as well. Partners for tasks, esp the hunter ones, are also wanted. On the flip side, I'm more than open for clashing or antagonistic CR.
Offering: A quiet and serious kid who strives to be the greatest hero, but also to better himself. He makes for a strong ally and devoted friend, once he gets to know a person.
Not Interested In/Avoiding: I'd prefer to handwave/discuss any fights or sparring, if only because I'm really awkward and fumble with writing that stuff out.

Brief Personality: A shy and timid girl who shows her bravery most when others are in need. She cares deeply for others and wants most for them to be happy, although she firmly believes her only real skill is at making tea. Has a terrible self-esteem but has a strong faith in those she knows.
Appearance: Smol. Usually wears a black mage's robe along with the usual Verens wear underneath. She has a preference for shorts over skirts.

Current Activities/Developments: She now works at the Golden Afternoon Bakery along with her family! People are free to move their tea-drinking habits over there instead, and it can be assumed that if they regularly visited her at Pleasantea Pastries, she let them know where she works now.
Future Developments: The bakery also has craft things going on, so she'll be developing her dunamis more and more. That said, if others would like to lend a hand in teaching her just about anything, I'd be happy to play it out!
Shipping/Romance: She's like 10~13ish (canon updates make this weird) so I'm only really up for puppy crushes around that age range.

Brief Personality: The Devil in his world. He's outwardly cheerful and friendly and inwardly deeply distrusting and despairing. In his eyes, there's no fate for him but death, and while he tries to act like he's made his peace with it, he actually just kind of hates everything and shuts people out from getting too close.
Appearance: Ta-dah. He has golden, cat-like eyes and minty green hair. He also wears clothes that are slightly more reminiscent of modern clothes in cut so far; he's not really gone native in terms of fashion.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: He is up for both, but he's not much of a proper combatant (yet).
Current Activities/Developments: He's currently being very depressed and continuing to shut people out, but he's cracking. Now that I'm actually able to be around, he'll probably open up if only because he can't stand trying to hold things in any longer.
Future Developments: To get him to open up to people and generally have hope - or at least a goal to work towards, which is better than nothing at all! He's probably going to start looking into breaking his curse, but he'll need to learn dunamis properly for that.
Shipping/Romance: I'm open to it, if you really don't mind him and his 1000 issues.

Character Name: Ryuunosuke Naruhodou
Canon: Dai Gyakuten Saiban (Great Ace Attorney)
Brief Personality: A lawyer-in-training who has a tendency to worry about the worse of situations and gets flustered easily. Though he doesn't come off as anyone outstanding, his straightforwardness and innocent nature makes him easy to troll talk to. Once friends, as long as it's within his power, he can be depended on to help you out.
Appearance: He always wears an armband on his right arm, showing his profession as a defense attorney. Often times, he's wearing something like this that's more suited for Verens fashion, though occasionally he brings out the school uniform. He's also occasionally seen carrying a katana with a red ribbon tied to the sheathe.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: A bit of both! SOL things come easy for Naruhodou, so I like to continue pushing him to try more adventurous things and learn through experience, even if he complains about it.
Current Activities/Developments: Naruhodou has been working towards picking himself back up after his castmates all have gone home. Being at such a low point, he actually took up Rokurou's suggestion to take a room at the Van Airtia, a criminal's invitation. "Can't be any worse than it is now" Is what he was thinking. Not wanting to be a waste of space though, he has offered to occasionally run errands and cook for the crew whenever he decides to stay on the ship, for however many days he needs it.
Future Developments: Get on his feet again, so he can get back to business, whatever he decides that to be. May or may not become an honorary pirate, whether he likes it or not.
Shipping/Romance: Not looking at the moment.

Seeking: Honestly anything. Going more specific, someone to butt heads with his do-gooder personality. Anyone who enjoys food, shopping, cute things, and wordplay (I'm bad at this, but he enjoys that sort of thing). Meeting and learning from other sword/bow users, fighters.

Since he's a lawyer, he will gladly help handle minor legal disputes or investigate things. He's also pretty gullible, making him an easy troll target. He has some very bad shopping habits because of his gullibleness.

Brief Personality: Michiru holds herself with an air of elegance, carrying herself with a certain degree of class and old-world manners. She is obsessed with violin music and will spend most of her time either playing or listening to music. Michiru is also a wonderful cook and enjoys getting to live openly and freely while providing and tending to those important to her. She is a very strong woman who at times can seem fairly mothering or mature for her age.
Appearance: Lifted from the wiki page: "Michiru is an extremely beautiful and delicate-looking girl of slim stature and average height, with deep blue eyes and wavy teal hair that falls just past her shoulders. Current Activities/Developments: Currently she performs regular concerts at several locations; the most common being the music store and a small area near the lake. She is also teaching several people how to play the violin/offering violin lessons. Other than that she spends most of her time swimming and painting, as well as modeling for Setsuna's clothing line.
Future Developments: Expand her musical career?
Shipping/Romance: Open to shipping/romance, she's missing Haruka but is open to the idea.
