Kairi nods gratefully at that. She appreciates sitting next to someone who isn't going to jump on the train to force everyone to eat everything. Maybe she'll feel up to trying later, but right now she's still getting over the shock value.

"Thank you," she says genuinely. "I grew up by an ocean, so I'm more used to things like fish, clams, seagull eggs, oysters. That sort of thing. This is entirely new to me and I'm not sure I can get used to it. I hope I won't offend our host if I don't eat anything."
