A woman sits at a cafe table in the sun, a cup of tea half-raised to her lips, half forgotten as she watches the people of Verens bustle about their business. Even if a person could not tell her newcomer status by her style of dress--conservative and old-fashioned, compared to what the natives of this place wear--they might be able to tell easily enough by the way she cannot help but stare. The sight of all these ladies with their ankles out--or better still in trousers!--cannot help but claim her attention.
Far from being scandalized (well... maybe a little...) she is utterly delighted by the brazen fashions of Verens! Fascinated by the machines! (And the tea isn't bad, either!)

The air around her is fairly sparkling with her glee, though after a moment, it dims, takes on a more wistful glow. The flower in the vase on her table droops its head in sympathetic melancholy. Unused to the amulets, she does not even realize her sudden wish is broadcast:
