Welcome to Empatheias' plotting and CR meme! Please fill out the form below with all of the necessary information. Then go forth and reply to others, plot, make friends, have shenanigans!

The Plot and CR meme will be posted on the first of each month, and will be posted once the intro posts have been posted, and again during the mid-month announcement. We highly encourage everyone to check the post from time to time, even if a week has passed. You never know what kind of opportunities you could be missing!

James, Raiden & The Luminary

Brief Personality: A career criminal who is much less evil than he likes to think he is. Human incarnation of the comic sans font.

He's incredibly intelligent but highly emotional, overly sensitive and scatter-brained so he has a well deserved reputation for being an idiot. Multi-talented, likes to tinker with things that might explode and/or fly him to Vegas.

Bravado masks low self confidence.
Appearance: A tall, androgynous young man in his mid twenties with periwinkle hair. He usually dresses either in a button down t-shirt or a more Verens style but so far has not put on his Team Rocket uniform. Almost always wearing sunglasses.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Both, but he leans more towards adventure.
Current Activities/Developments: Living by the lake, is employed by Snow White, and is working on repairing a Brinndosi sentry that he is secretly planning to eventually turn into something else that he can use to capture an Arehtei (this is extremely long term).
Future Developments: After the Gem event he will be dealing with the fact that he has now completely outed himself as a criminal.

As mentioned above, his long term project is studying the Brinndosi mech and trying to build a mech of his own so he can use it to capture an Arehtei for Team Rocket since he's convinced they're legendary Pokémon. This is VERY long term. He is going to try to look into Dunamis.

He can also be an extreme introvert at times so he needs to learn how to get out more without Jessie and Meowth being there to motivate him.
Shipping/Romance: I am not seeking shipping but am open to anything that happens organically. James has some complicated, unexamined feelings for his teammate back home, though, and is generally a bit of a mess when it comes to relationships due to past trauma. It's unlikely he'll end up shipping material, but people are welcome to have their characters crush on him.


Seeking: Now that he's gathered some almost positive CR it's time for him disappoint people by showing more of his villainous side so if anyone would like to be part of that...
Offering: James can offer many types of CR. He can be very emotionally aware and deeply empathetic but he's not very sympathetic. He might form intense bonds with someone or rob them blind. He can be a jerk but once he's decided someone is a friend he's fiercely loyal.
Not Interested In/Avoiding: It's all good!

Raiden

Canon: Metal Gear Solid 4: The Power of Us
Brief Personality: A half-feral cyborg ninja who basks in the comfort of his own nihilism and despair. Through emotional self torture he intends to keep himself wild and partially hopes one day he can break his own mind and forget he was ever human.

When he isn't busy emotionally abusing himself his hobbies are reading books, watching movies and ultraviolence.

Beneath the despair and slowly growing flamboyant psychosis there is a patently ridiculous young man with a big heart who just wants to be loved and have people think he's cool. This part of him isn't as buried as he'd like to think.

Extremely, unwaveringly loyal to the people who put up with him long enough to become friends.
Appearance: The head of an "exceptionally beautiful young man" attached to a ninja-shaped robot. Often wears a black leather trench coat.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Mostly adventure.
Current Activities/Developments: Raiden currently lives in the forest south of Verens where his despair is slowly starting to make the woods "haunted".

He hunts monsters and brings the meat back to the city to sell.
Future Developments: Raiden is sorting out long term plans for dialysis but is coming up with something to work in the short term.

n the long term, his treatment may cause him to confront his weird relationship with despair since positive emotions are necessary in cleaning his blood. While he'll never be completely sane (he's a Metal Gear character), he does canonically have the capacity to learn to be more content, relaxed and generally happy. He just has to want it first.
Shipping/Romance: Probably not.

Seeking: Friends, enemies, sparring partners, fellow soldiers and people who can help him physically and emotionally. Characters who can help him through his emotional pain will be characters who, instead of offering a shoulder to lean on, yell at him to stop being an idiot. Characters who help him physically would be people with medical or cybernetic knowledge. He tends to get himself shredded to pieces on a regular basis.

Offering: Angsty ninja who is actively repressing an urge to kill. What's not to love!? If he happens to latch on to someone he'll follow them around like a lost puppy.
He came close to being a father (actually he is one but doesn’t know) and still has rare bursts of paternal instinct, making him a papa wolf type too.
All in all, he's a source of potentially dramatic CR but not great for lighter, fluffier stuff.

Brief Personality: The man now called Erdrick is a kind, heroic, brave, valiant youth with holy light powers who is also a bit of a rascal at times and not always very wise. He can be a chatterbox but lapses into a stoic silence when he feels the situation calls for it or when he's so confused he doesn't know what to say.

He has an immense fondness for adventures and new experiences.

Part time thinly veiled Jesus metaphor.
Appearance: Teenage land mermaid.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Adventure, ho!
Current Activities/Developments: After the Gem event, Erdrick is feeling shaken and uncertain about whether or not he really should be the Luminary anymore.

He will also be putting plans into place to open an armory.
Future Developments: Erdrick is used to having help from a close band of allies who are not here. He has to learn to cope without them and deal with a world that doesn't care he's the Luminary. He also needs to find a sense of purpose since he has already accomplished the one task he was born to accomplish.
Shipping/Romance: Younger people are welcome to flirt with him (he's 17, mind) and he will probably even playfully flirt back with the attractive ladies but he's not interested in a relationship. He's married and very devoted to his wife.

Seeking: All kinds of CR. Friends, allies, exploration buddies, people to save and fail to save, people who can help him gain wisdom.
Offering: A sparkly, well meaning shonen idiot who will do anything to make someone happy but also enjoys pranking people.

Brief Personality: She's sarcastic and a little bitter, but she's got a heart of gold if you're willing to look past her first impressions. Chloe's also kind of a nerd and enjoys talking about engineering, science (physics & chemistry mostly), and will probably make references to movies/comic books/anime on the regular. She's got a lot of Emotions, but she hates showing them, so you can guess how much she likes this place.
Appearance: She's got blue & pink hair with blonde roots though she wears a beanie a lot so you usually can only see the blue. She's also got a full sleeve tattoo and a belly button piercing, though the latter doesn't get shown off too regularly.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: She's more prone to Slice of Life just because of her canon, but I still am planning on having her learn to fight more so she can start to do adventure things. She just needs some incentive.
Current Activities/Developments: Right now Chloe is crashing at Lance's place, but she's going to be looking for her own apartment I imagine. She walks/plays with Reaper's dogs pretty regularly and eats him out of house and home. She also will be doing the finances for Kevin's bakery thingy because she's a math geek in disguise. Sometimes she'll be set up at the market with her artwork and a sign that says "THE DOC IS IN: THERAPY $5" because she likes Peanuts references but she also has a tendency to end up in the role of Advice Giver so now she just wants to charge for it.

She also got some welding equipment and while she usually uses it for sculpture, she's gonna be open to teaching people how to weld, as well as welding for machinery if people need it too.
Future Developments: Like I said, I'd like to get Chloe to be more prepared to do adventure things. Learning to fight or use a weapon and maybe like... Not die from trying would be good. She's not really big on learning how to control the emotional stuff, she just wants to bury it, but eventually I'd like to get her to actually learn how to harness this stuff.
Shipping/Romance: I am open to natural development, but Chloe is emotionally a mess. She's grieving the murder of her last girlfriend Rachel and trying to get over the trauma of finding her and the relationships she had before her were not... great. She's also trying to deal with the trauma of having been killed at home by the same person as Rachel so she's a little overwhelmed with all of that to think about romance.

She does tend to get flustered fairly easily though and is hilarious to flirt with. She tends to cope with casual flings, she just will be very hard to get to agree to be anything more than a FWB thing until she gets her shit together. That being said - I'm a sucker for romances that start with helping someone get their shit together, so ayyyy~
Seeking: Someone to teach her to fight, someone to call her out on the whole not letting herself feel things being a BAD IDEA, negative cr would be fabulous. She's gotten along with most people she's met so far, but Chloe is a real bitch sometimes, especially towards dudes, so I'd love to actually play that out. I'm also great with more friends and some people who will generally try and get her to be less of a uhhhhh disaster human being.
Offering: Usually she's great for positive CR even tho she's awkward and can be a bitch, because I guess for some reason people sometimes like that? I can absolutely offer negative CR given her attitude, but I'm also good for snark buddies, teaching people to weld, teaching people art, being that friend who says shit you probably never understand, cheap therapy, etc.

Also adopt her, I guess. She needs as many parents as she can get.

Canon: Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Brief Personality: A wise and fearless knight with an unstable sense of worth that leads to spiteful behavior. He's arrogant and imperious; yet beneath that facade is a man given to mischief. He's a schemer who's quick to chew people out. Yet he abhors liars and cowards and sadly doesn't realize his anger is problematic. But at least he's well-spoken?

Appearance: 100% honourable man who is a demon. Permissions are here.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Both! He's interested in building a new life; meaning there's the possibility of putting his chivalry and skills to use to train others, etc. Friends might help him change into a better person now he's away from bad influences. Being intellectually curious means he can get involved in world-exploration quite easily.

Current Activities/Developments: Jasper's been making friends now he's been here, learning about different organisations, the Enforcers etc. He'll possibly be workin with the Luminary at an armoury. He's also accepting work that fits his experience; like slaying monsters and bandits. He's notably sympathetic to the local monster population. The Gem event saw him unaffected because of his real nature - which is giving him food for thought.

Future Developments: I'd like to see Jasper become the person he could have been without Mordegon's influence. He destroyed his home because he gave up on dreams and happiness, so there's a lot of emotional confusion over being somewhere new. Getting his demon form out there and having it affect his CR and characterisation is also something I'd like to explore. For any suspicious characters, it's the reason he was unaffected by Gem.

Shipping/Romance: Yes but he's fixated on someone back home. He's also 36 years old so I'm not interested in age differences, etc.

Seeking: People who zealously hate demons! Or people who might be sympathetic to demons. People he can bond with. Fellow villains he can chill with. People who will smother him with the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP. My dream is to see him trapped as a demon in a Pokeball.

Offering: Jasper makes it easy to gain both positive and negative CR. He has a temper but follows a twisted code that values honesty and brotherhood. He's open for all sorts of development.

Brief Personality: Kind, giving, and helpful to everyone. Believes all people can get along and live in peace even after ending a war and being the victim of a lot of racism. Acts like nothing is wrong with her even when it is.
Appearance: Green. Long green hair (like below her knees long), green eyes, her usual dress is mostly shades of green. It also has openings onto bare skin, most notably along her sides and circle right in the middle of her cleavage.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Both! I think I'm still focusing on slice of life more than anything, but she can absolutely handle adventure settings. JRPG life, y'know.
Current Activities/Developments: Not a ton because I stupidly thought I'd be around more than I was last month. Did have a couple of darker issues crop up during the Gem incident, but she's very good at trying to pretend she's fine.
Future Developments: I mostly want her to get to know more people, or at least better in some cases. I'd really like to get her involved with more of the Tales of people, too. I also still need to get her more gal pals and actually experiencing fun girly things for once in her life because she would love it.
Shipping/Romance: Feel free to contact me if something looks like it could develop that way! I will note that the guy she was engaged to before she died thousands of years ago currently has an app pending, so that would complicate all of this very much.

Seeking: All the friends and/or people she can sister! I'm even okay with negative CR, just be aware that she's too idealistic to truly dislike anybody, but she does chastise bad behavior and knows when to back off.
Offering: Loving big sister who wants everyone around her to be happy. Also someone who is trying to not be as horribly sad as she actually is because her existence has been worse than hell honestly.

Brief Personality: Kairi is a Princess of Heart, which means she has no darkness/evil in her heart. She is entirely made of light/good. As such, she doesn't display emotions like hate, rage, or jealousy. She can get angry and often does when her friends' lives and well-being are at stake, but she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She is entirely good and always happy to lend a hand or an optimistic and supportive ear. Kindness and compassion and the power of friendship are her biggest traits.
Appearance: Her red hair is now shorter than it was in KHII but longer than KHI, about chin-length all around. She has blue eyes and almost always has a smile on her face.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: She's happy with both! She wants a way to fit in and help out in the day-to-day, as well as a way to earn her keep in the city, but she also doesn't want to be left behind anymore with Sora and Riku, so she is always looking for ways to strengthen herself and her skills.
Current Activities/Developments: She's trying to figure out if a jewelry/accessory shop would be a good idea, specifically something with an island and/or paopu theme. But mostly she's trying to help the rest of her poor cast pick up the pieces of last month. And y'know... deal with it all herself.
Future Developments: I always want more ways for Kairi to go out and prove herself, to be a strong warrior and a wonderful friend, not just the one person who consistently gets shoved to the side. I don't have a lot of goals for her aside from boosting her confidence and getting her involved in exploring or dealing with crises and generally being the HERO she's never allowed to be in canon...
Shipping/Romance: I have nothing planned, but I am open for something developing. I prefer slow-burn types and ships that have plenty of buildup and a strong basis of friendship to go from.

Seeking: Anything, honestly. Kairi is super friendly and always good for making friends.
Offering: She's a great friend and always up for being the supportive type. If anyone needs someone who is full of light, compassion, and kindness, but also isn't afraid of standing up for herself, she is here for this.
Not Interested In/Avoiding: Not really sure. I'll amend if I need to. Obviously nothing beyond fluff for a ship with her, since she's only 15. No horror or harassment, etc.

Brief Personality: A good-natured young lad who wants to befriend everyone, but he also carries his fair share of angst and problems.
Appearance: This is what he looks like and how he most commonly dresses. He's very small and looks like a child (around eight years old physically) despite actually being a teenager. And the most distinctive thing about his appearance is a pink gem that he has in place of his belly button, though that’s usually covered by his shirt. Also he’s sometimes accompanied by a large pink lion!

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Both! Steven enjoys hanging around and engaging in slice-of-life shenanigans, but he still wants to answer calls to adventure and to do what he can to help those who need it!
Current Activities/Developments: Last month, he was under the effects of the fog, which made him more pessimistic and less brave for the most part. And there was also a negative clone of him running around towards the end of it all! Now he’s pretty much getting back to business as usual.
Future Developments: I’ve been tossing around a few ideas that I may put into play this month. One is that, the other month, Steven received a set of YA novels from home known as the Spirit Morph Saga. Steven will begin lending the books out to others so that they can experience it! He may also begin offering to use his dream-hopping powers to help others. Otherwise, I’m mostly going with the flow with his development.
Shipping/Romance: None here! I only really ship Steven with one person from his canon and don’t really have any interest in cross-canon shipping him. Age appropriate characters are still allowed to have crushes on him, however. It just will not lead be requited.

Seeking: I'm open to most kinds of CR! Other kids/teens, fellow cinnamon rolls, grumpy/antisocial friends whom he can try to win over. He's also been looking for more people to play music with!
Offering: A very energetic young friend who wants to help anyone with their troubles! He also has a bunch of unique abilities that could play into threads, such as healing spit (which has been shown to cure things like bad eyesight and broken legs) and the ability to enter people's dreams when he's asleep (sometimes unintentionally).
Not Interested In/Avoiding: Subject matter that is too dark/bleak/graphic and sexual content. Mostly the kind of stuff that would break Steven and/or is too difficult to thread him dealing with. Feel free to run things by me if you’re not sure if something crosses a line!

Anything Else:

Gundam Tanaka

Character Name: Gundam Tanaka
Canon: Dangan Ronpa
Brief Personality: A chuunibyou/edgelord who tries to hide his caring side and often acts condescending to others, but he is also great with all sorts of animals and has the potential to be a loyal friend.
Appearance: This is his general appearance and what he usually wears. He has his ridiculous hair, his faked heterochromia (the differently colored eye is a contact lens), a Hell Hound Earring, pale skin, no apparent eyebrows, a scar across one eye (apparently it's a tattoo) and one arm that is always bandaged. He also always wears his scarf, which usually contains four hamsters - or rather, the Four Dark Devas of Destruction.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Both! Gundam's ridiculous and over-the-top manner of doing things can make even slice-of-life feel like an adventure. But he also does like to go out on actual adventures, mostly when there's interesting animals involved.
Current Activities/Developments: He was affected by the fog last month, which made him more humble and trusting of others. Now he's back to his more cantankerous nature and pretending last month didn't happen. He's continuing to distance himself while focusing more on his normal routine (such as looking after various animals, honing his dunamis, occasionally hanging out with actual human beings).
Future Developments: I don't have much specific planned for him at the moment! There will be sure to be Helisium hijinks at the very least.
Shipping/Romance: As an edgelord, he likes to pretend that he’s above having shippy feelings than others. However, he can and has developed feelings for other beings. Depending on the development, he could potentially be open to shipping with others. It would just most likely be slow-burn and with Gundam being difficult before accepting it.

Seeking: Various kinds of friends! People to be baffled by him, people to play along with him, fellow animal lovers and/or people who need help with animals. Light-hearted rivals and enemies, fellow chuuni edgelords, are also fun.
Offering: Someone who will annoy and/or entertain your character with how ridiculously he handles everything! But also a possible loyal (while still eccentric!) friend in the making. Someone who can introduce your character to a lot of animals, and to help anyone having trouble with their pets or other animals! He could also act as a dunamis instructor!
Not Interested In/Avoiding: Not much that comes to mind! Just don’t hurt his hamsters, and I’d prefer to generally avoid situations for him where he’s helpless to prevent animal cruelty.

Ritsuka Fujimaru

Character Name: Ritsuka Fujimaru
Canon: Fate/Grand Order
Brief Personality: Friendly, snarky, nerdy, and probably too forgiving for her own good. Also has a slight tendency to put others' needs/interests before her own. Somehow doesn't see herself as a hero despite everything she's done.
Appearance: This! Though she's definitely gotten some alternative normal clothes (well, normal by local fashion standards, she thinks the steampunk aesthetic is pretty cool and so doesn't go out of her way to find 'normal' things by her world's standards) that she wears fairly often. But if she expects to be needing to do things with the Servants for any reason or needs a little extra protection, she'll have the uniform! Also, of note are those markings on the back of her right hand; they're always visible and look like this; they probably ping as pretty highly magical to anyone who can sense such things, too!

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: ALL THE THINGS Ritsuka is ICly interested in working on trying to save the world and all, but I'm definitely up for shenanigans and fluff and what have you, too!
Current Activities/Developments: So last month was... a month! With lots of ups and downs and yeah. Stuff. Ritsuka's still trying to sort out her feelings from everything that happened, honestly, but otherwise is mostly sticking to her usual routine. That is, helping out around the Jade Dragon, dunamis practice, probably occasionally going on a hunting mission with a Servant or two, etc...
Future Developments: Nothing big at the moment. Currently Ritsuka's started to sloooowly drift in a direction that will probably eventually cause an alignment shift, but it's a very gradual thing and not particularly significant yet. Otherwise I have no solid plans, so anything goes?
Shipping/Romance: She's still ICly just kind of avoiding the whole issue. She's almost (not quite, but almost) realized that maybe she would like something like that, but it's... complicated and easier to just not think about it at all, so! Buuuuut if anyone else happens to take an interest in her by all means you're welcome to try! :Db

Seeking: Pretty much anything! Ritsuka will try to befriend everyone up into and including former (occasionally even current) enemies, so there's that. I'm definitely fine with attempts to deliberately mess with her too, just keep in mind the general warning that the Chaldea Servants will probably react poorly to someone causing their Master harm. But if you're fine with that have at. SHE ALSO NEEDS MORE ACTUAL FRIENDS like that she can talk to about things without feeling like she's weirding them out with, well, everything about her canon.

Brief Personality: A shy and timid girl who shows her bravery most when others are in need. She cares deeply for others and wants most for them to be happy, although she firmly believes her only real skill is at making tea. Has a terrible self-esteem but has a strong faith in those she knows.
Appearance: Smol. Usually wears a black mage's robe along with the usual Verens wear underneath. She has a preference for shorts over skirts.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: Slice of life!
Current Activities/Developments: Her family is going to be working on keeping the Golden Afternoon bakery going, so she'll be quitting her job at Pleasantea Pastries to work there instead! She will also hopefully be around at Helisium unless I'm super dying at that time.
Future Developments: Thanks to working at the Golden Afternoon bakery, she'll finally, finally be developing her dunamis since they have an area dedicated to that.
Shipping/Romance: She's like 11~14ish (canon updates make this weird) so I'm only really up for puppy crushes around that age range.

Canon: Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning
Brief Personality: The Devil in his world. He's outwardly cheerful and friendly and inwardly deeply distrusting and despairing. In his eyes, there's no fate for him but death, and while he tries to act like he's made his peace with it, he actually just kind of hates everything and shuts people out from getting too close.
Appearance: Ta-dah. He has golden, cat-like eyes and minty green hair. He also wears clothes that are slightly more reminiscent of modern clothes in cut so far; he's not really gone native in terms of fashion.

Slice of Life or ADVENTURE: He is up for both, but he's not much of a proper combatant (yet).
Current Activities/Developments: HE HAS CRASHED HARD FROM LAST MONTH. The smoke made him extremely hopeful, but as he is normally, Hizumi views hope as some horrible monster waiting to eat you once you let your guard down - and he feels real justified in those thoughts after last month. He's going to be moping pretty hardcore around town, and his mood is such that there's probably going to be despair goop that also has the side-effect of being a very effective plant killer.
Future Developments: I'd like to get him to open up to people! Right now is a great time because it's pretty much impossible for him to hide how upset he is with everything. I'm planning to get a post up for him blobbing around town.
Shipping/Romance: I'm open to it, if you really don't mind him and his 1000 issues.

Seeking: People who can pick at his problems and get him to please just, talk about it and open up to others, jfc.
Offering: Cheerful and outgoing friend! He's wary of getting close to anyone emotionally, but he's still good for dragging people into shenanigans if you need an excuse to get involved in anything. He's also highly intelligent if you need a smarty around, he just might not act it all the time.
