Cid Highwind | Kingdom Hearts

E1.

[Cid's borrowed Simulation Glasses glide over his ears and rest comfortably on the bridge of his nose, much to his surprise. Much more surprising is the heat that bears down on his body. His clothing is unfamiliar and unflattering, but he keeps this opinion to himself. When his eyes adjust to the oppressing sunlight, the white box floats before him, demanding he give himself a new name. Rather than brand himself with his real name, Cid folds his arms and ponders some other moniker.]

Huh... Got me.

[The box springs to life, immediately filling in its blank space with HUHGOTME. With a little ding! the Crystal Simulation authorizes Cid's new name and promptly begins translating his engineering skills, even as he throws his hands to the sky and shouts.]

What the-- That's not the name I wanted! You piece of junk! Change it right now!

[HUHGOTME's emotes are furious and erratic to be sure.]

F1.

[A long time ago, before Radiant Garden fell and Cid could barely boast his stubble, Cid Highwind hated fishing. Back then, he devoted all of his time to engineering gummi ships, and he would only rest when his labor produced adequate results. Over time, and after a forced change of perspective, Cid learned an appreciation for leisure time. More specifically, he learned to be lazy.

So when someone informs him of the fishing tournament, Cid decides, what the heck, why not participate? There's a bit of competition involved so he is still working toward something, and he gets to work toward something while seated. He wins from every angle! With a gruff smirk, Cid acquires a humble little boat affectionately embellished with the name Ships n' Giggles, a fishing pole and supplies, and turns to determine the merit of the nearby novices. Just because he disliked fishing in his youth doesn't mean he has to dislike it as an adult.]

Alright, which one of you's lookin' to fish?
