Nathanos Blightcaller | World of Warcraft

A
[ There is a man standing at the edge of the market that seems at least a little out of place. He's tall, with a strong build and clad in a mix of dark mail- and leather armor. There's a bow strapped to his back and two short axes hanging from his belt. His skin is an unhealthy blueish-grey and his eyes glow in a mix of amber and red.

But those are mere outward looks. Fortunately, Verens has gotten quite used to their Otherworlders and their often unique appearances.

What truly sets this man apart from the rest of the market is how thoroughly he appears to despise being there. Certainly, Nathanos could just leave and go elsewhere. But there is that morbid curiosity in him that wishes to observe these mainly human beings occupying the market and taking care of their oh so mundane little errands.

The undead man rolls his eyes and spits a single, disdainful word. ]

Humans.

[ Then, as if he's aware of the faint smoke raising around his heavy boots, he takes a step to the side, leaving behind the scorched and burned ground he has just been standing on. On closer observation, there are several additional footprints burned into the ground. He has been here for a while, indeed. ]

...-loathsome creatures.

[ Are someone's thoughts being transmitted mid-mental-rant? Why, of course they are. ]

Just keep screeching until I find-... Oh. That will do.

Strange quests aren't exactly new to Nathanos, though he's more used to giving them out to pesky little adventurers that need to be kept busy - and preferably out of his sight. Yet he has agreed to assist in hunting down this allegedly dangerous rodent in hopes of keeping himself at least remotely busy.

Having to focusing on specific emotions for the task at hand seems ridiculous to the expert marksman, though with hatred and anger serving as the undead's default emotions he doesn't exactly have to put any effort into that part of the assignment. The only part he's actually displeased with is the detail where he's not allowed to actually kill the animal.

"Just where's the point in this hunt if the prey is to be kept alive." the tall, armored man growls more to himself than anyone in his proximity as he steps up to yet another farm.
