[All things considered, this particular fetch-quest seemed simple enough. It's halfway to the glade in the mountains that he realizes his time in politics has left him a bit soft and out-of-practice with this whole adventuring thing— and any of his former companions who might deign to remark that he's always been this way can kindly keep their opinions to themselves.
For the most part, much of what he's had to contribute has been complaining about his sore feet and the cool mountain air as they ascend. Otherwise, he's been as pleasant a traveling companion as ever— though upon reaching the glade, he heaves a sigh that's so weary it causes the nearest shrubberies to wilt.
Alarmed, he gives the nearest shrubbery a suspicious look as he leans on his staff for support.]
