Yuri just happened to be in the park when all of this Magical Something Whatever happened to take place. He liked the park. It was a good place to hang out sometimes. But today he found it annoyingly crowded. There were people excitedly chatting about getting some super ultra rare Frog Bear among other things as he just passed through the park.
Lazily just making his way through and stopping to look at a card that someone suddenly handed him. ... That's when a creature suddenly streaked past, causing him to blink and look up as some panic people started running around as well.
Now a net was being shoved at him, the person hurriedly telling him to help catch the moving toys before they run off. More of the apparently fake creatures starting to run amok.
"Huh."
He then hands the net off to the next person.
"Sorry, I'm not any good at catching other people's pets."
He's just going to nope right out of this...

Taking up a job as security detail for some kind of high profile event, Yuri finds himself at a... keychain revealing. What anyone would get so excited over a keychain is beyond him. But whatever, it's a job, it pays money, so here he is.
Little did he know what he was going to get into. It seemed like his bad luck was going to strike yet again as keychains turned into shadow monsters.
"Oh come on, does everything come to life around here?"
Fortunately, he declined having one of those things himself. But he was security here so he needed to help these people out. And maybe get a fight or two in? That's right up his alley. Though whether he has a good enough heart to take things things down remains to be seen.

Yuri had heard about this new challenge, where people were going around blindfolded. It sounded pretty stupid to him, so he wasn't getting into it. Nor was he trying to actively stop people either.
However, as people with blindfolds and earmuffs started walking around town, that changed a bit.
He wasn't really stopping them, but wasn't going to just sit by and let someone kill themselves either.
Yuri was just minding his own business, watching as one of Puzzle Box Challengers was about to walk head on into traffic. He then stuck out his foot, tripping the person.
"Oops, sorry, didn't see you there.
Not that they could likely hear him anyway.
Or he was just passing by the fountain in the middle of town when someone was about to walk right into it. Yuri diverting his path to bump his shoulder against the other's, causing them to stumble and turn a different direction.

"Whoa, sorry about that."
