yellow diamond does not know where she is. yellow diamond does not recognise her surroundings, and she realises steven likely knows more about this than she does. despite everything, yellow diamond does not like admitting to not having some sort of control over a situation. it makes her feel better to pretend she does, at least. she stops, looks around, then just... acts like this is what she wanted. they're only a couple blocks away from where the attack had happened, but considering there's no screaming echoing through the city, it's likely most of the monsters have been dealt with.
